First, I am certainly sad for the people who died and were injured in Sunday's earthquake. That said, the timing of it was impeccable.
I'm currently in a production of Into the Woods. The top of the second act starts with an earthquake. We were literally walking onto the stage to start Act II when the quake hit. If we hadn't had to hold intermission for a few patrons, it would have struck right at the moment when the quake happens in the play.
In hindsight, it was probably good that it didn't happen while we were on the stage. We were able to evacuate the theatre quickly and make sure everybody was OK and no damage to the building. We got everybody back in and started the second act with no interruptions. When we got to the point in the play where the quake strikes, everybody laughed, though one child in the audience got a little scared thinking that it was another quake.
Anybody else have nature look down on you and decide to have an impeccably timed act trigger at the dramatically appropriate moment?

Thank you for your submission to Science. Your paper was reviewed by a jury of seventh graders so that they could look for balance and to allow them to make up their own minds. We are sorry to say that they found your paper "bogus," specifically describing the section on the laboratory work "boring." We regret that we will be unable to publish your work at this time.

Minds are like parachutes. Just because you've lost yours doesn't mean you can use mine.

I don't know about impeccably timed incidents, but I've had my fair share of hurricanes and earthquakes.

Thunder and rain syncs with recording being played
I was living in a camper trailer in Elko, Nevada - Right across the road from the airport.
I was listening to this mix tape I put together. The tape went into Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) off the Concrete Blonde album: Still In Hollywood. That version of the song starts with the sound of thunder and rain. Just as the tune was starting, a jet took off (quite a rumble) and a cloudburst of rain happened. A minute or less later, the plane was gone and the rain had stopped.

The non-"extended version" labeled version of the tune shows the thunder and rain better.
