... after ICE swooped in a took over 700 workers off their jobs. It seems that over 300 of the 700 have had to be released already though.

Supposedly to care for the children who came home from school to empty houses.

Well, how humane. Usually ICE picks up the kids, loses them in far off concentration camps then lets them die for lack of care.
Is this a real change in heart or just a temporary aberration? Edited by AZPaul3, : No reason given.Eschew obfuscation. Habituate elucidation.

Wait, what?
I thought that that the reason people were put into concentration camps and locked in standing-room-only cages is because illegal entry into the US is a crime and law enforcement agencies have absolutely no choice but to detain them. Did the law change?
Added by edit: That was sarcasm is case someone missed it. Edited by Chiroptera, : No reason given. It says something about the qualities of our current president that the best argument anyone has made in his defense is that he didn't know what he was talking about. -- Paul Krugman

Hyroglyphx writes: he also says, "No one will ever be deportedexcept, presumably, for serious felons, though Warren doesn’t even say that explicitly." It's true that Drum's summary of Warren's plan doesn't mention deportation, but why do I have a feeling that Warren does have something to say about deportation? Then why do multiple left-leaning outlets report the same thing?
Source I don't think you read the source you cited (actual title: Elizabeth Warren’s immigration proposal goes much further than a pathway to citizenship). About Warren's immigration plan it says:
quote: But Warren's plan, like that of all the other Democratic candidates, is much more humane than Trump's. It's major actions are:
No Democratic candidate wants open borders. No one debating here wants open borders. We need secure but welcoming borders with laws that make immigration straightforward and unfettered. Maybe someday North America will even achieve something like the EU's country borders, though that day doesn't seem imminent. Trump's crisis on the border is a fiction. We are not being overrun by robbers and rapists and drug dealers. Trump is exaggerating such threats to justify the inhumane treatment of people who are just like you and me, and who have committed no crime, but are merely fleeing danger and/or economic hardship in their own country. They are merely seeking a better life, like millions of immigrants to America before them. --Percy

I want open borders.
You oppose them. And your reasoning is your own business. Don't speak for people. Phat does too, if I understood him correctly. Edited by LamarkNewAge, : No reason given.

Thursday night he said this:

the party of pre-birth death camps is destroying our planet by not offering credible candidates who can spell their names on unlined sheets of paper without pre-arranged stenciled letters.
your party sucks. Edited by a servant of Christ, : No reason given.

quote: This article shows us that despite the founders debate over immigration, there was never an effort to expel immigrants for roughly the first 100 years. The long article shows us that "open borders" came to an end for non-whites only in 1875, but continued for whites for decades longer. Also see:

All I do is throw facts back at you. If you would read objectively you will see I never claimed you thought LaRouche should have been the Democratic nominee. I stated that it seemed you did. I think that was a reasonable inference from the arguments you were making. I guess my inference was wrong, but I think my reasoning was valid.
It seems I am very good at getting under tour skin. Maybe it will make you improve your arguments. Oh yeah, personal attacks don't strengthen your arguments, they weaken them.. Edited by Theodoric, : No reason given.Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts "God did it" is not an argument. It is an excuse for intellectual laziness. If your viewpoint has merits and facts to back it up why would you have to lie?

If ever there was a tech that could be exploited I feel this is one that will be debated and anguished over for the next few years. I ask myself.."Self why do you feel that facial recog tech is bad?" I mean if your not doing anything illegal or nefarious why should one care? Then I remember that book 1984.
I am with Bernie on this one, face tech is gonna go from a useful tool to a police state if we are not careful imo. Bernie Sanders wants to stop police using facial recognition software | CNN Business"You were not there for the beginning. You will not be there for the end. That'll put a damper on his campaign, although it is not that serious and there have been presidents with more medical issues, it raises a question again, of age. Ageism? Biden is under similar scrutiny for his age as well, despite being in good health. I still recall the debate among pundits back in the 80s regarding Reagan's age while he was in office. Yet ironically, he was only 70 at his inauguration. Bernie is already 78 and Biden is turning 77 next month. Which means if either of them won the presidency, they would be 79 and 78 respectively at inauguration. Sanders would actually be turning 80 in the first term of his presidency.Mind you, The Trumpster would be 74 if he gets his second term. Generally, I try not to focus on age. But even I have to admit, I can't discount thinking about it in this circumstance. I think what would help assuage people's concerns is a good running mate that is probably more youthful.

I would at this point prefer Pocahontas as president, but if VP to Bernie or Biden that would be ok.

quote: Happy to see Tulsi still in the mix. We need a strong anti-war voice. What I see here is a very strong field of candidates, not only for president but also there for vicepresident. Bernie has once again outperformed the others on raising grass roots funding, with over $25 million in the last quarter, but we now have the issue of age related health and potential heart attacks. It should be noted however that many people have been through the process Bernie has just had and have lived long and prosperous lives. Even some 'evil' ones (Cheney), and it certainly makes a strong argument for #Medicare4All universal health coverage.
