I'd say...
"then make me God also"
to which he'd reply "that'll take time, be patient"
...that's the thing isn't it ??? We all want proof NOW, when the truth is we aren't sufficiently evolved to handle the truth but once we are, we will be God for to know the mind of God is to be God
I'd say we are at the stage of just being able to slightly comprehend the will of God which is nature in all it's wonder and beauty...
...don't you love it ???

Couldn't God "sufficiently evolve" you a little quicker?
...so you want proof now, huh ???
yes, God could evolve us a little quicker but good things take time and besides time is relative. To God 13 billion years is a blink...
...God wants us to be his equal as we were "made in his image" but what he actually wants is for us to be made in his reality, however we have to choose to be
Remember how bored he was with us when we were perfect....

the most selfish thing one could ask for is to be God also...
...and you don't know what i'd do if I was God ???
there'd be sum changes i tell you...
truth is, i have had God reveal himself to me and i tried to deny his existence but when confronted with the almighty it's kinda hard, so i trust my feelings enough to know that if God reveals himself to me as in your scenario, I'd know if it was or not and require no further proof
Most people don't trust themselves enuff to do that and constantly require proof or validation for their beliefs. It's why i can't handle all the fundamentalist christians and their selfishness, talking about living forever in paradise but only if you do as i do or say... sounds rather boring actually so i'll just live my life as i see fit let karma dictate my rewards on this planet and let God do whatever the hell he likes with me after that...
I do believe however that the way to god is thru Jesus life and truth and how he defined them thru his actions and words but one can arrive at godliness by other faiths as well...
...ya just gotta have it
as you were...

got it down to a process...
Accept nothing as fact
question everything
determine your own truth
define your own reality
or
I think, I know, I feel, I'm right
you can think otherwise as is your right to have and express your opinion but it does little to change mine unless it passes thru my process which also acts as nice little bullshit filter
as you were...

...
If GOD made you God also to prove itself to you...
...then knowledge of self and omnipotence would tell you by your own feelings as GOD that you must be GOD, not sum deceitful extra terrestrial entity
proof enough ???
My question would be if God made you God for an instant (given that time is irrelevent) and you could make one single change to yourself or the universe (eg...time space, gravity, immortality, wisdom, good looks, a bigger penis)
What would it be ???

how many times...???
nothing is perfect
in the space where nothing exists
will one find perfection
the perfect nothing
seek...
define>>nothing>>perfection>>space>>find/seek>>in>>one>>exist...then apply it to a place and a thing and give it a consciousness
of course God doesn't exist to Crash because he doesn't want it to but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist to others who do...
In this day and age it's all about ME...My Evolution
accept NOTHING as fact
question everything
determine your own truth
define your own reality
I could go on about personal truth vs absolute truth and personal reality versus ultimate reality but when it comes right down to it...some of us can't handle the truth or reality choosing instead to live a lie and deny everything else
It's your choice as to what you choose to believe and by that you define what is real to you, therefore to Crash, God is not real and doesn't exist but that's just his opinion as is anybody elses who begs to differ
BTW Crash, there is nothing broken about this world or universe, everything is as it is meant to be and everything will be as it should...it's just you applying your subjective observations to a preconcieved notion of what a perfect world and the ideal man should be
and besides God's got better things to do or maybe it's the sabbath day of rest in heaven and has been for 13.7 billion years...
<<(EDIT)>>forgot to define >>exist...without that "nothing matters"

...the absolute truth is God is the ultimate nihilist so we can't ascribe our flawed constructs of truth, reality, logic, reason, values, ethics or morality on something that is beyond our ability to understand or elucidate upon

So, we know that one of two things is false:
1) God exists.
2) Misery exists.
we know no such thing YOU do and that's cool...I know different!!!
Personally I don't think the universe is comprehensible otherwise there would be a consensus of opinion and you could rule out God as a first cause...
Of course God isn't going to extend his hand to me if I jumped of a cliff he's got better things to do and I'm not even going to try as a test of faith, that's just silly
A truly ineffable God rendered the universe into immediate order from perfect chaos at T=0 can you tell me how ???
you are right though, there's no predicting what God will do so it appears he acts at random with infinite power from our perspective... He's a tricky bastard is our God
That would then make the universe we observe to be not the totality of the universe we can observe and until then there can be no consistency beyond a few observable physical laws, even then to see is not neccessarily to understand. I'm sticking to the intelligent designer model with faith that we will evolve enough to be able to understand the mind of God...
...surreal eh ???

I would actually use occams razor to suggest the simple truth that God sustains the universe by his will...
...nature is aught but the will of god but to know the mind of God is to know how nature in it's entirety works and that we don't know, we are getting close though
the search for the theory of everything is the search for God...

sorry PE, I don't quite get the last question
...all I'm sweeping under the carpet is the first cause, beyond that we can deduce the how but not the why or the what. I think God has a strictly non interventionist policy towards evolution cos he doesn't want to influence the process by which we arrive at his level of consciousness
he gave us free will and a mind with all the neurons and God knows what else so we can choose our personal destiny. He could just as easily take it away...
What if we exist in the mind of God with all that we see stars, planets, galaxies, spactime being God's neurons interacting in a massive process that we don't understand. I don't think anything is truly comprehensible about our universe until we can reach the outer limits of it and see it thru God's eyes for what it is...
