I'll try in a minute, by editing this post after it is submitted.

Added in edit. I can! I can give a subtopic when editing; though not when I first define the thread. This is a useful way for a new topic proposer to suggestion changes to their topic title.

There are two bugs:

  1. A subtitle cannot be entered when the thread is first created.
    ​
  2. In the thread list for the forum, the subtitle appears as hard text instead of as a link.

  1. You don't want a distinct subtitle when the thread is first made. You give a title instead. Addng a subtitle in edit is an interesting little extra that can be used in the new proposals forum for a proposer to advise the reviewers of a proposed title change.

  2. I don't understand the second comment, but I'm sure it's a feature, not a bug.
