Well, this is my first post. I'm 20 years old and very idealistic as you can guess. I consider myself on neither the creationists side or the evolutionists side. Look people, if am a C or a E does that change algebra? If I spend endless hours arguing with a C or E does that make a mission to Mars happen? If I engage in lengthly dicussions about "ID" did that put a man on the Moon? In my mind its not important to waste time on such trivial issues such as how old is the Earth. Rather, we should be Proponents of advancing technologically and scientifically which will able us to begin to answer the questions that are on everyone's mind.
Furthermore, energies are better expended for the cause of a common goal (a mission to Mars) not just useless and never ending psychobabble. Now, you creationists don't think I'm just some young whippersnapper that hasn't seen your side of the issue. I have meet and talked with John Morris of ICR serveral times and been to IRC headquarters more then once. I have also heard Henry Morris speak in public. As for the evolutionists I am a member of the Mars Soceity, subscribe to Sky & Telescope magazine and own a Meade 8" SCT with go-to capabilities. I also enjoy reading science related books and watching old sci-fi films. e.g. "Things to Come"
So why am I telling you this? Because i think that it dosen't really matter what someones thinks about how we got here, its the progressing and understanding that means something. Just think. what if the library of Alexandria hadn't been burned to the ground? Not, what if so and so creationist hadn't said that.
