Re: Completely Scientific, Except For the Miracle
MrHambre,
It's convenient that only The New Guy gets to summon miracles to defend his theory's scientific plausibility. On the other hand, why do you always have to do things the hard way?
Not sure what you mean?
Mark

Re: More irony.
TNG3,
Well, if the Flood was worldwide, then there would be traces of sediments deposited everywhere. There is the tectonic plate movement, all that. None of it works AGAINST creation, but it has also found a place in evolution. Therefore, this test is inconclusive.
Not unless the flood sorts rocks radiometrically.

Re: Completely Scientific, Except For the Miracle
Marko,
I just want to know why the New Guy gets to bring a miracle to the table every time he needs to fill the holes, I mean complement the scientific rigor of his theory. Maybe you should adopt the same strategy, and quit looking for plausible scientific mechanisms for species evolution. Forget genetics, atomic physics, population studies, comparative anatomy, and the rest of the subjects that you've studied to lend support to the validity of evolutionary theory. If you take a tip from the New Guy, you could just call it a miracle and Q.E.D., dude.
regards,
Esteban "Not-so-new-guy" Hambre

No, it isn't. There is more evidence for it than against it, I assure you. Now, as I've stated earlier, I resign. I know what I know, and no person can convince me otherwise. Peace.
P.S. Thank you for your time!!

Re: More irony.
No, it isn't.
Yes it is. A flood cannot sort similar rocks by isotopic ratios. There is no hydrodynamic difference.
There is more evidence for it than against it, I assure you.
You mean there's nothing that can change your mind. Again, not a good intellecual place to be. The geologic column dates older radiometrically the lower you go relatively. A flood can't do it. Period.
I know what I know, and no person can convince me otherwise.
You know what you know? I don't doubt it, but you've already admitted you don't have a scooby as to how radiometric dating works, clearly you can extend this to geology, too.
Keep your head in the sand, just don't forget to breathe.

If I only had a nickel for every time this unsupported assertion was trotted out. Usually its prefaced with "I have little knowledge of geology, but . . .", which actually adds a little humor.
How about this . . .
There is more evidence for Werewolves than against them, I assure you.
Kind of a weak statement, wouldn't you agree?

I know little, concede nothing, and will forever be wrong. Not a position I would like to put myself in. Close mouthed and close minded are fertile fields for brainwashing and fanaticism. Of course, it may be that this site is not worth your time. Anyway, whether here or elsewhere, learning about the natural world is a great joy and I hope you enjoy your journey.

Giving up
You give up remarkably easily. That is a very poor way to learn things.

Same ol' same ol'. Been there, seen that, not buying it. Been discussed to death, here and elsewhere. Just crackpottery.

Nope
We don't debate web sites.
You pick specific things and discuss them. You can use the site as support and for more details.
If you think we should then read
TalkOrigins Archive: Exploring the Creation/Evolution Controversy
it will rebute everything in your site.

Off-topic rantings by Lam.
TNG writes:

I'm going to do a quick analysis on the 2 sites that you posted. Warning, long post here.
From Wyatt Archaeological Research:
In 1985 a six-inch hole was drilled into the area marked by an arrow, as seen on the photo above. By way of that hole, matrix material samples were taken from within a cavity. Careful examination of the samples with the naked eye revealed fibers that appeared to be hair. In 1993 these fibers were evaluated by a fiber expert in one of the nations leading crime labs.
I would very much like to see some kind of independent analysis of this very interesting and suspicious information by more than one genuine scientists.
The article then goes on on how the material samples were identified as animal (probably mammal) hair. Again, there is absolutely no source citing or referencing that I can see. Anyway, the author also claimed that plant samples and some kind of fiber optic was found. Again, not that I'm saying the author lied, but I would very much like to see some kind of independant analysis of the material samples.
As was the policy of Ron Wyatt, Wyatt Archaeological Research will carefully and quietly proceed with scientific evaluation until more information can be released. In the mean time, we can humorously conclude that animals were definitely on board Noah's Ark!
I know that we could interpret this as a statement not to be taken seriously, but it gives a false impression that the site in question has already been confirmed as the final resting place of the legendary noah's ark.
All five videos from the popular "Discovered" series in DVD format for the introductory price of $100.00.
I've seen these kinds of programs before on the history channel and other channels that show these "unsolved mysteries" shows. I am willing to bet 100 bucks that no conclusion will be drawn from anything on these videos. It's like a tv program on werewolves. They can show hundreds of supposed eye witnessed accounts and stories, but they never give you anything more than "unsolved mysteries."
By the way, $100 for the videos???
On to http://www.s8int.com/index.html:
This particular site has 15 pages on this subject, which I don't have time to do an analysis of right now.
I do have an alternative theory to the author's. The author claims that there are traces of advance ancient civilizations and that they were somehow destroyed, probably by the flood. My alternative theory is that there was no earthly advance civilization. I propose that aliens visited our planet thousands of years ago and gave people ideas on these things. The aliens also built the pyramids.
