Heh, I've been told a similar thing by a lot of people, but there again i already think that i am slightly different shall we put it. Maybe it will push me over the edge, maybe ill just give up midweek sorta thing, or maybe it'll just be another interesting experience. I just want to know what its like, what i really think, and maybe to slip into blissful insanity.

Man, promise you'll give us a report afterward. I can't wait to hear how it goes for you.
This will be my last post for a while. I will be among incessant noise for close to six months, and have been told to get used to nightly gunfire. Already have plans to decompress on the Na Pali Coast of Kauai when I'm done

Good luck out there, hope you come back ok.

Yeah, didn't the episcopal church just ordain a homosexual priest?
When you start quoting them you lose something.
Anyway, I'm not sure why you all are so open on an internet forum with strangers.
My questions, if you look I don't remember actually asking, were rhetorical. I wouldn't post my information here.
It's nice to know you though.

Nah, that's old news. We just selected a homosexual Bishop.
See, GOD and Christianity loves homosexuals.

Out of Control
Anyway, what I mean by dropping to your knees is not sky diving or near death experiences, but humility. Realizing that you're not in control.
Not everyone would refer to it as work, but I'm a single parent, working as received no support. Certainly I became very aware that I was not in any kind of control.
I managed with the help of many good people, not the least of them my children.
I was not aware of any help from God.
Perhaps he was busy hating. . . behaviours.

Because I have nothing to hide. I treat everyone on here as if he/she stands right in front of me right now. I never say anything on here that I wouldn't say in real life face to face. I am usually very out going, so having a good conversation with a total stranger is not new to me.
Actually, I just made a new good friend by being open instead of being overly conservative and closed off like most guys are these days. Ha! and some people think I'm dating her.

God usually works THROUGH people.
Infact, probably 99% of the time God works through people.

Re: Out of Control
My situation is similar to firebirds (but I'm having it easier ). What is the same is the enormous help that friends have been. About 80% of them atheists or agnostics. I guess God works through all of us eh?
If so maybe God isn't nearly as discriminating as Christians. Just maybe you're not so special after all.
Of course, maybe what's true is that people don't need God to be good folks.

Steve, excuse me if I don't believe you, but you started the topic with a post that was a series of questions... what did you expect the response to be?
I wouldn't post my information here.
Why not? You asked others to do so. My best guess is that you didn't get the response you expected, and now you don't feel quite as "holier-than-thou" as you did at the start of this thread.
It's the behavior [homosexuality] He hates!
I'm glad you're speaking for God now... apparently you know better than the whole Episcopal church... talk about "holier-than-thou"...

Re: Sorry I don't fit your profile, Steve
Does anybody who posts here have an actual job that requires of them real responsiblity? (Non-Homer Simpson type job)
Has anybody here actually experienced awesome life situations that bring them to their knees?
And for all you none believers, do your cares travel further than you and anyone who benefits you?
Um, not for nothing, but these look like Yes/No questions to me, you all decided to give me your life story.
I'm glad you're speaking for God now... apparently you know better than the whole Episcopal church... talk about "holier-than-thou"...
I am stating, in my own words, what the bible says, which I believe to be the word of God. These are not new revelations, Christians have possited this view for a long time: God loves the sinner, but hates the sin.

Prove that sin exist. And if it does exist and God created all..then he created sin too. Which means he created something he hates. That does not make any damn sense.
