Re: Problems of evolution taught in school
Actually since the teaching of evolution says in effect and indeed says directly that the Bible and Christian doctrine on origins is wrong then iyour school is talking about religion. It can be said to be wrong but not be said to be right. Tyranny.
The reason evolutionists don't want evolution questioned or discussed in schools is because they have a higher agenda of fighting Christianity and its influence in society. They are still in combat with the Protestant origins of the country.
Also of coarse they since they insist evolution is the truth they can't allow doubt to be credible even though 50% of the population doesn't accept evolution and it flies in the faith of the Bible.
This is about bigger issues then the origins of the world
regards Rob

Re: Problems of evolution taught in school
Loudmouth. Christianity is the source of all that is right in the world. For wxapmle America.
Anyways though you are right there are evolutionist church goers (though not as many as you think). What of it.
That doesn't change that mostly we creationists find the motives of activists evolutionists and supporters to be crusading against Christianity as a influence in America.
Also again there are few 9 to 5 paid evolutionary scientists.
And of coarse We don't believe they have a right to call themselves scientists but instead should be called historians.
Regards Rob

Re: Problems of evolution taught in school
Yeah but which half. I bet the creationist half could say about the reason for the yerly calender better then our opposite.
We come from the side who thinks carefully about these matters. Our opposite to a gret extent accepts what they are told and see no need to be engaged in science matters. And so remember nothing from school.
Regards

This is the first time you've made some points.
Even it there are three hundred (steves)paid evolutionists (and I doubt it) thats still very few for such a big country on matters so reaching. Also just teaching (repeating) other mens ideas doesn't make one engaged in science.
I don't know how many 9 to 5 paid evolutionists there are but if it is as in paleontology, as they say themselves, it must be very very few.

Welcome. You make my point. There are just a few astrophysicsts, relatively, and yet great ideas are presented to society as if a great movement of minds has come to conclusions that must replace previous conclusions.
I bet most of these people just repeat what they learned in books and independent thought is rare.
Yet in the creationist world we claim thousands of years( hundreds of years in the intellectually advanced English-speaking world)by millions of people persuaded by the truth of scripture and ready to contend with all comers. And science thinkers too many too count.
Regards

Re: Problems of evolution taught in school
With all respect loudmouth it is unreasonable to say origin sciences do not directly attack the Christian faith.
In America the Protestant faith has a foundation, repeat foundation, insisted and still a great deal insists that genesis is true and important to the Christian redemption story.
When people talk about the history of the rise of evolution it is always said that it replaced beliefs stemming from the Bible. ALWAYS.
Of coarse a Christian can get around it but such a person is in error. And its not needed, they just have been intimadated by someone claiming authority in some field.
And then the government steps in and says the historical and thriving Christian doctrine is not permissable on state property because of separation of church/state.
You can say the Bible is wrong but not say its right.
CLAIMING THE SEPARATION RULE. HMMMMM.
I would put out to all here a line from Thomas Jefferson talking about science subjects and government. From his notes on Virginia 1782.
"It is error alone which needs support of government. Truth can stand by itself."
Today the government suppresses a commonly held belief about origins. WHY? Because it is engaged in a struggle with the Christian faith as a influence in society. So it tries to undercut it's foundations. That is Genesis.
A true believer in science would never censor questioning on the merits of some claim of science.

Re: Problems of evolution taught in school
We are (unlike usually) going around in circles.
In fact you agreed with my point, I think, that evolution is always taught with the point it replaced previous Bible beliefs. The others contended this was not so.
It all comes back to the same equation that evolution supporters cannot answer.
There is a separation of church/state.
This separation is the justification to censor creationist teachings or criticisms.
SINCE origins are taught that reject the Bible/Christian doctrine then this is the STATE saying they are false.
This is ITSELF contrary to the separation of church/state.
This is an easy equation to understand. Either you refute it as it is or honestly admit its decisive force. (in 30 words or less)
I can't see where my reasoning is wrong and believe this arguement will in the future bring change to education in your Country.
Regards Rob

Re: Problems of evolution taught in school
I know the quote. That was my source. You misunderstand what I said.
It is ,at present the government that is keeping a belief out of the classroom in order to maintain another belief. Creationist being brought in is to remedy the original trespass by the government in saing the Christian teachings on origins is wrong. They said this by banning it in the classroom.
