Right on Mike. If a few more Christians would worry a little more about themselves and not quite as much about everyone else, the world would be a better place.
Thanks.

Hey, come on now - no thanks needed from you guys. Stop this confusion. If anything Jar - you have been more of an example of this;
If a few more Christians would worry a little more about themselves and not quite as much about everyone else,
Don't think your efforts to humble yourself - haven't been a good lesson to me!

Re: I was gay.
There is ONE woman that I'm thinks I'm an Adonis, I weigh about 150 lbs and am 5'9" now...in highschool I was 115 lbs. and about 5' 2". Teresa dated me when I was that little peon wimp...now that we're married 25 years...I'm a BIG peon wimp.

I fail to see what message one is trying to achieve.
First of all I will say that I do not advocate hate speech or hate preach, toward anyone, ever. As far as lusting after women in my heart, I have and I am guilty of adultery for sure, but I can’t condone my sin.
I don't think I was aware of my sexuality at five. I don't remember. But I do know I was aware I was interested in girls long before puberty. .
I knew at a young age that there was something between a boy and girl that I didn’t quite understand because it was modeled by my parents. I remember kissing a girl on the cheek in kindergarten but only because I had seen it done by my parents, or in a movie. But does that suggest sexual orientation, or environmental influences?

Re: I was gay.
Since I spent the better part of my life trying to be straight, I still act straight by habit. I've never met anyone that could tell that I was gay, because I act really straight. In fact, some people I know still refuse to believe that I am gay because, they say, I don't act like it at all.
However, I always enjoy looking at good looking guys. For some reason, I still look at good looking girls without even knowing it. Even though I don't enjoy looking at good looking girls at all, by habit I still look at them everytime my mind isn't fully there.

There's nothing worse. You're not gay but everybody thinks you are, you are gay and nobody believes you...damn people are crazy!

I have and I am guilty of adultery for sure, but I can’t condone my sin.
Nor do I condone mine. But then, why do we "pick" being gay? Is it a special kind of sexual sin? Or are straights sinning according to bible anyway? (I bet most fornicate or have fornicated in this age)
Biblically speaking, being married is the only correct course, and we all know that. But I don't think a certain type of people should be hand picked as an example, when for all we know, they are abstaining monks. So I hope you can see, that since we are all sinful, we can hardly go picking on some certain people, with some silly premise that they are "extra sinful" when for all we know, they could be abstaining moral giants, strong in the spirit,- ignoring the flesh.

I think you're reading a bit too much into the phrase, "knew I was gay/straight." From what I have heard and read (and my own personal reflections), it isn't like the kids are having pornographic fantasies. It's that they look back and realize that they behaved differently around one sex compared to the other and that they liked being around one sex better than the other and that those pleasureable feelings developed and matured into what we see in adult sexuality. Some kids know that they had this reaction of liking one sex better than the other early on. Look at the archetypical schoolgirl crush that many nine- and ten-year-olds have. It isn't like they're having thoughts of doing the nasty. It's that they are feeling something and it is being expressed in childlike ways.
And with some people entering puberty at nine or ten years old, I don't find it that unusual to find some people who are aware of their attractions for the appropriate sex at such a young age.
Edited to expand upon the idea

But I don't think a certain type of people should be hand picked as an example
I guess my response to that is that I don’t want to single out any individual and point out his or her sins, lest the mirror be turned around toward me to reveal my sins. Sins I will not name on this forum because they shame me, and that is the difference.
A friend of mine informed me that I probably shouldn’t have suggested this topic, because it is divisive, and Christian’s should try and find common ground in which to start a discussion. I think I am going to take his advice.
To anyone who was offended by this thread, I apologize. I wish to drop it now and move on to other topics, if that is OK.
Iron sharpens Iron. Thanks Chris.

Actually, I wasn't offended at all. You did not come off as... an anti-gay son of a peach.
