Why can't we just state quotes we like without having to be criticized by our counterparts and counterparts of the honored poster as to topic context?
You can. I was raising an idea based on something your POM gave me. I was unsure if you were more interested in the quote or the post itself... I said personally it had looked that way... and apologized in advance if you did like the entire post.
So you see I was making an assumption about why you might have made the POM, and even thought your doing so was valid (if my assumption was right) in light that we don't have a Best Quotes section.
If I was right maybe you'd back me on an area for quotes if one wants to highlight a quote separate from the rest of the post. If I was wrong all you had to say is you really did like the whole post and you meant the whole post, and then could (or not) pipe in on whether you think such a Quote area might be good or not.
Or you didn't have to answer at all. But I wasn't debating the topic.

A new idea!
Ifen gives a new perspective on an issue. That doesn't happen often enough. And it is well written.

Thanks! Still trying desperately (and failing) to match your even tone in my posts.

Why there is a battle between creationism and science
Name: Loudmouth
Forum: Dates and Dating
Thread: An honest question for creos regarding dates and dating
Post #: 68
Part of a series of off-topic messages.
A profound clip (the rest is good also):
The opinion of many christian scientists is that we should study God's creation to allow us to accurately interpret the Bible. Creationists tend to ignore God's Creation and instead focus on their interpretation of the Bible.
Don't debate this message 68 here. Don't even debate this message 68 there. Maybe bring it to a new topic.

The best effort so far, in answering the topic title question.
The topic has been sidetracked by results of the "where are you on the grid" test (which I also find interesting). But we do need to cover the real topic also.

Re: What is a Liberal, and What is a Conservative?
Thank you very much, Moose! It was awarded the day after my 69th birthday. I've been so busy over yonder that I've done little reading. Well, at least this is one achievement that my counterparts can't much critique.

Something with so little self confidence that it could become upset if I didn't believe in it is not something that could have created the Universe.
That is,to me, the most congent, well thought out statement by any believer in God I have ever come across. My hats' off to you jar.

Thank you sir but should it be in the September thread or is this proof that the sun can stand still for a whole month?
