He's had no takers
Actually he has one taker,Slvia Browne a psychic whom he cornered on Larry King live.I watched that show and witnessed her agreement to it.
James Randi has a clock running at his website showing the number of days since that event for which she has yet to answer. As of today{08-21-04}this is what it reads.
It has been 1083 days since Ms. Browne publicly accepted this latest phase of the challenge.
Do you suppose anyone here would be willing to take the challenge?

It says nothing about whether or not it can effect the natural world.
This statement requires us to question why an effect employed upon the natural world escapes notice by us? It still is very tenuous since we would think that in affecting the physical there must be some form of bridge with qualities of both natural and supernatural.
This enters into speculation that clarifies nothing. If we accept the bridge we can ask the further question of how does this bridge exist, indeed, at what point is it no longer physical but immaterial? On and on into realms of speculation withouta gain in understanding of the way the world works.Occam's razor does apply until such time as a proper expalanation can be deployed to show that this line of reasoning has anything other than a "god of the gaps" quality.

Super natural is a super set, not a subset.
True, but its effect is a subset. And that can be measured. So I suppose we could take beta decay as a example of an effect with no apparent cause, at least one that cannot be predicted. Is this the sort of event you would look for as evidemce of the supernatural?
The supernatural question is not HOW atoms hold together or the universe expand, but WHY?
But belief in a God does not answer the why.If a God actually existed and interacts with people on their level {physical} through thoughts or feelings then these are measureable since they are manifested on a physical level. The atoms are responding to what if not a physical agent.

Indirectly at present.Since we can alter or eliminate feeling and thoughts through the use of chemical agents we are able to ascertain that the brain indeed has a physical basis for these phenomena. I will admit at present I am not aware of a measurement of thoughts and feelings per se but this is likely due to not having localized the areas responsible for these actions. But like your question reveals How do we measure these?Time will tell I think.
