Well If you mean death as an individual yes since the consciousness you have is a result of a brain which decays at death and no longer performs the functions required to allow "you" to live.It is only because of our biology that we are able to make utilize energy to live.I am supposing that you are actually asking if our "souls" live on in which case I would ask you what you mean by soul.
