Dude,
The link you produced is to a notorious parody of all that is questionable in creation science. You've been had. Joe T

Are you serious, or just trolling? I'm betting the latter. Either way, why on earth is it that creationists tend to take the word of people who they don't even know anything about from sites they know nothing about (or just as commonly, take the word of people who have committed numerous frauds and laughably bad scientific errors) as if they're some sort of sign from God? What ever happened to your ability to take the credibility of people into account? Or is your judge of credibility simply "They profess belief in Jesus, so they must be telling the truth."?
If so, I can see why so many people are voting for Bush, as well. "Illuminant light, illuminate me."

Yes - I've done some checking and it seems that it's a well-known spoof site. I guess L saw the word christian and that was all the "proof" he needed. Mind you, he has proved a fantastic example of how creationists will swallow any old bull they see on a website.
Let's look at his comments again:
quote: Well you sound (no actually this PROVES that you ARE) like a guy who'll swallow any old rubbish on a website. You may be seeking the truth but you seem pretty poorly-equiped to find it. That could explain you and Ron "butter fingers" Wyatt. Such a shame.
quote: Maybe you should work on the principle that just because one is a hoax that the next one is not automatically going to be true.
quote: Actually there ARE people ROFLing but it's don't seem to be you! This message has been edited by Charles Knight, 09-20-2004 04:46 PM This message has been edited by Charles Knight, 09-20-2004 05:36 PM

What's interesting is that the site seems to have disappeared a little while back - It's seems that even this claim was 3rd hand.

quote: What, like this site is not so "hoaxy"!
quote: And it seems that you are so lazy that you just post the full article with no clue what it is. Good reason for that sensible rule of links rather than just cut'n'paste - would you not say? So run along, smile nicely and make that apology to Asgard.

It's like Willowtree. Willowtree finds a crank book that says what he wants and suddenly it becomes an unquestionably reliable source that everyone else should just accept. I don't think these guys really understand the concept of truth.

This is not meant as criticism, or to belittle you in anyway. But it is meant to show you how objective data is used, and more importantly, misused. Even a quick look at the photo showed that it was a hoax. The lighting is wrong, highlights and shadows are wrong. It was an obvious hoax. There was no need to read the text that went with it. It was obviously a hoax. If you can learn to examine other data that you come across in an objective manner, you will be less likely to get caught by such hoaxes, and there are many of them out there. I thought the 'Wahabi-Evolutionist axis of lies'was the best line of all. Yeah, everyone knows that the Wahabi Muslims are Creationists.

Okay, I've been had. Can you give me any info proving that I have been had? I have not found one article showing that that site is a hoaxy site. Until you can prove the site faulty, it is innocent.
It is amusing to see many of you belittle a site, but have nothing official disproving it.... Oh..but wait...I forgot "I've been had!" *runs away in terror* ~Lysimachus

Holy crap, man! "Kanga-Jew?" "Baby Jesus" thong underwear? "Kids, if you find an Atheist in your neighborhood, tell a parent or pastor right away!"? "According to the secular National Science Foundation, public understanding of Creation Science in America has slipped in the past year with only 47% of respondents correctly answering "false" to the statement "human beings, as we know them today, developed from earlier species of animals." "? You are very seriously humor-impaired, at best, Lys. Or maybe just perception-impaired. I feel sorry for you.
