New Administrator - AdminJar

Sorry to disappoint you, buz. I try to be as fair as possible, but I unfortunately have a pretty bad temper. My patience is easily worn out, as was best demonstrated during my dialogue with desdamona (my head almost exploded).

Nope. Not once , although I've been spoken to by an admin on other issues.

Among people whose opinions I do not agree with, there are 2 kinds of people. (1) Those that have good reasons why they disagree with me and (2) those that are just stupid. The stupid people depress me because they represent everything that's wrong with humanity. I have very high hopes for our species, if you haven't noticed by now. The stupid people, and I don't care if they're evos or creos, have the potential to put us all back to the stone age. I can actually understand your reasons why you believe what you believe. In other words, you are not just stupid like desdamona. Even though I don't agree with your world view, I respect it... as long as you don't suddenly turn into a stupid person. Now, would you stand still and let me shoot you in the head? Ha! Fat chance.Going back to the original topic, I think jar is a very very very wise person. You have no idea how much I look up to him and how much I want to be like him. No, I am not sucking up to him.

Is that bad or good? First I have to be a person to be stupid - but I'm an omni-bubble, - and form in different gaseous nebulas. So - I have no head to shoot from (oops). Yes - I like Jar and Lam - they're not bad for unbelievers. (only kiddin' Jarbie).

I am reluctant to publicly discuss member qualifications for moderator positions, but I'll make a couple of comments here.Re: Buzsaw - Buz has been seriously considered for admin status. Sometimes he seems right, other times not.Re: Lam - I have a number of issues with Lam's forum participation history, that I'm not here going to go into further. There is some public record of my forum relation with Lam, if you wish to search for it. Anyway, Lam is not (IMO) a prime candidate.Adminnemooseus

Mike, you are doing chit-chat interjections in a number of topics. Some are lite topics where it's not so bad, some are in more serious topics where it is worse. Stop it - They are forum rules violations, and in gereral tick me off.Also, ditch the "Admin" alias. Starting names with "Admin" is reserved for official use only.I'm serious here. Sorry, I'll try and stay on topic, sometimes my goon-gas injection system injects too much. I've changed my name back - you can delete "AdminMike" if you want. Or can I do that - how would I do that?

I'd have to be called AdminWeakAss.But seriously, I'm not sure where you thought I "seemed reasonable in debate" as I tend to avoid them like the plague. I try not to get involved in anything that could turn nasty. I don't handle heated arguments well at all and, ultimately, they become too emotionally draining on me.It's happened to me before, on another forum (though not a debate forum). I was a very active member there and actually was offered a moderating position by the owner. I ended up leaving, though, because of a conflict with another member. I didn't want to leave, and I lost a lot of very good friends when I did, but that's the effect it had on me.I know I'm too sensitive, but I've always been so, and it doesn't look like changing any time soon. Things seem to affect me on a much deeper level than others. Either that or I simply lack their ability to shrug things off. I suppose all of this may sound quite silly but what can I say?...It's me.Anyway, as grateful as I am for the accolade (and I genuinely am; especially as I'm a very infrequent poster here), I seriously doubt that I could handle the duties of a moderator. No hard feelings, I hope. I do appreciate it, and feel quite complimented, but I'm afraid I'm just not made of strong enough stuff.And I just realized that I instinctively went into rant-mode and skewed badly off-topic. I agree (and no, I'm not sucking up either). I have tremendous respect for jar, both his views (mostly) and his knowledge base. Frankly, I'm surprised it took as long as it did for him to be made a moderator.

Adminnemoose - I apologize for my prank - at the time it seemed funny, but I didn't foresee it would be a problem like this. I won't ever use that name again though - so there's nothing to worry about.I suggest 5 days banishment for my actions, if you still have righteouss anger against me.

Tony - I will respond to your message in the "intelligence" topic - as I forgot to respond to your rant over there. I will stay on topic over there - and add a tiny off-topic remark over there. (Might be in a short while that response- don't be angry with me, I have a sizeable demand in threads at the moment)
