Nosy likes a lively discussion as much as the next old guy. He's merely trying to enforce the rules. Yes, the arbitrary, annoying rules......... "Behold My signifigance!" said SirPimpsalot, and all was right. "I am the Lambda and the Kappa, the Second and the Runner-Up."

Re: The rules
If you don't want to be held to the rules you agreed to then we have a place for you. Would this place be boot camp?

Obviously it doesn't, or else all life would be identical. Clearly that's not the case. The atomic combination required is obviously on a short list........or else, like I said, you could just throw viable proteins together willy nilly and make life, right?

Combine your rationality with some education in the biological sciences and who knows what you might accomplish? At any rate, I think we've said all that there is to say. As it is we've rapidly exceeded your level of biological education. Weeeeeeelllllll, aren't we Captain Pretention?

Re: The rules
Sir Pimpsalot, it seems you are posting contrary to Forum Guidelines concerning posting under more than one ID. Wow, you Admins are QUICK........I practically had a freakin' neon sign attatched to my chest..........
Your other ID was warned about this. I will give you a few minutes to respond but you will be suspended. Oh NOOOOOOO!!!!! Now I'll have to go through the trouble of making another ID! Woah is me!

What would make the proteins? Why make new ones? Take existing ones.
Think it through, for once. That's not how I roll......

There's no such thing as thought, remember? Only checmical reactions... "Behold My signifigance!" said SirPimpsalot, and all was right. "I am the Lambda and the Kappa, the Second and the Runner-Up."

Take existing ones that are found in living things......

The obvious answer is because there's a very precise combination these protein molecules must form.......so precise that we couldn't possibly hope to stumble onto it through a process of trial and error......
