Hi all.
Just wanted to let you know that common sense and evolutionary theory recently won a small victory in Norway.
Most christian schools have decided to abandon the ACE-doctrine of education. Of course, this was mainly due to the anti-feminism of ACE-education, but I am happy mainly because these poor children will not be subjected to the kind of anti-evolutionary propaganda that the ACE-doctrine stands for.
Now, is there any chance this will happen in the USA??

--I think its great that kids aren't getting all that anti-evolutionary propaganda, though I would have to say that the school board is missing a bigger point. Its not whether their teaching that Evolution is either stupid or a scientific fact, but we really need to start giving the kids more than just these little straw-men on how the theory works, as well as increase the bar for scientific education a bit. In that I mean that there is a need to realize how science works, not just give them the scientific method and think they got it all down. I also think that its a bunch of hog-wash when the Private schools will have their evolutionary education come from some Ken ham or Hovind seminar tapes. Basically, your currently getting some-what brainwashed whether your in a public school or private school with anti-evolutionary education.

I agree, we no more and no less than no more straw men. I guess it is time for me to come out of my shell.

Far, far to the north. Too far for comfort, sometimes. To be specific, I live near the northern capital, Tromsoe. I have lived in Trondheim, too. Nice city.
