at first i wanted to laugh. then i wanted to cry.
i wonder what will happen when a competant teacher explains that arguments from incredulity are not science, and the id has no scientific basis whatsoever?
will we be seeing another scopes v monkey trial?

I can't see where this position can actually withstand scrutiny beyond a small religious community
weren't paying attention during the election, were we?

Re: lose some win some ...
how about this in a physics book:
"einstein's theory of reletivity is only a theory, not a fact."
or
"newton's law of universal gravitation is only a theory, not a fact"

Re: lose some win some ...
and I can suggest some experiments to test gravity ...
sure, stuff falls every time we've ever tested it, but how do you know it will next time?
and i debate that it's really falling, i think the it's really the earth that moves, and the objest stays stationary!

Re: personal gravity test ...
one can always take the personal gravity test when in doubt: a short step off the empire state building should suffice to gather lots of personal data on the effect.
I've done it.
you know that's against the law, right? and we good little christians would never break any laws.

Re: lose some win some ...
Ironically that is technically a valid viewpoint since no objective measure of movement is possible. If someone wishes to base everything on a frame of reference where the object is unmoving let them. lol
thus the joke.
and even in newtonian mechanics, the earth DOES move a little when you drop something.
