Aha! Point taken, but I am sure that they exist beacause I have known their work and...well, you all think I'm mad, and if I continue, I am sure that that is all anyone will take me for. I don't really have proof, but I have my senses, and especially my eyes.

No one thinks you are mad Clash. On the contrary, I will hazard a guess that most here are pretty impressed with your postings. You are young and Christian but not dogmatic that can see. You have not come in here guns-a-blazin' like many do, tossing out condemnation and hellfire in their posts. You have been polite and inquisitive, and I assure you that it is appreciated here.

No, not any more than we might think anyone who believes in invisible, magic things is "mad"
We've gotten used to this and understand that it doesn't usually qualify as a serious mental illness. It is something that is ingrained in our societies and, perhaps, in our genes. At the same time we do worry about what stops someone who believes in such things from thinking that those things are talking to them. From there we have people who are recognizably schitzophrenic thinking that the magic beings are telling them to blow things up and the like. At the same time I second (again) Asgara's comments on your behavior, ability to think and ability to read as well. This message has been edited by NosyNed, 11-19-2004 10:22 PM

Well, I don't mean to condem anyone really, I just forget my manners. In explaination to my post on why I belive in OTHER things, here: I belive that I have seen them, and I am not the only one who has. For a time, our house had a bad vibe, if you can understand. It just didn't feel right, and for the longest time, we were all seeing black streaks, or white spots that weren't really there. Dad finally asked us when we got a black cat, and we told him that we hadn't ever had one, so mum got busy cleaning the house spiritually. So there's why I belive in them. At school, I think that I can sometimes see them in the halls.
Go ahead, think that I am mad, but I belive that these things are what they are. Have any of you seen strange flashes of color or shadows in your homes that you could have sworn were there? Have any of you fell just badly, as if the area had suddenly darkened for no reason?

Have any of you fell just badly, as if the area had suddenly darkened for no reason? Hey, no worries. In all honesty, I swear I've been tackled by one of those dark 'voids' that people talk about seeing in their houses. My imagination/psyche? Possibly; this was in 7th Grade, a time of deep emotional trauma for myself and others. However, I won't think anybody's crazy for having seen them and being certain it was some kind of demon. Honestly though, I assume the 'other' power as you call it to be more likely to 'jump out' at theists than atheists, because revealing themselves wouldn't do much good to keep the deception of no God going, now would it?

No, they wouldn't. Oh, and mum says this: God was the first scientist. I know thats a bit random, but she says it none the less. I know that most people reading these posts do think that I'm a nut, but I could just bet that if you looked through your life hard enough, no matter your religion or lack of religion, you will find something unexplained that has affected you. My family friends that are very in depth in the Bible see the same things we see, though I know this isn't proof to anyone who hasn't met them. And yes, I know this is getting off topic a bit.

I don't really have proof, but I have my senses, and especially my eyes Well I do not wish to make you think that your experience did not happen but I must inform you that our senses are easily fooled as are our thought processes. There are many excellent books and writings that are available to use to investigate how the mind we have works and the ways in which we decieve ourselves occur. You are of course not mad and it is very much a sign of both good judgement and a healthy mind to investigate as you are doing by questioning others and gaining insight into how people deal with issues that you may or may not be facing at a given time in your life.Do take care and by the way happy belated welcome to the forum. I agree with the statement on how the mind can sometimes fool the senses, and I am affraid that I can only reply to that with another piece of spiritual reasoning that can be disproved by science. Some claim to have a "spiritual" sense, and I suppose that's how I distinguish my mind wanderings from supernatural events that I experiance. It's sort of like when the hair on the back of your neck stands up when your around a pervert or bad person. Does that help? In a way, you just know that it's evil and there to harm or lead you astray. I am starting to understand why some people choose not to have a religion since I cannot even explain my beliefs very well, nor can I offer any proof. I guess thats what makes it FAITH.

Hello again ClashFan
I really know how you feel about the strange senses of things not being right. Have you checked out the discussions about ghosts and non-corporeal things on this other thread?
EvC Forum: Spirits and other incorporial things (I still can't figure out how to put those links in any better) During all the goings on that I have talked about there, I never felt the need to beleive in anything other than my own inner strength. If anything my gradual realization that there really wasn't anything out there to rely on, actually made me much stronger and taught me to stand on my own two feet. PY

Osama Bin Laden, George Bush, Bill Gates are messing with our lives to name 3 out of a vast number. These are the only kinds of demons I know of that are currently active in our world.

We all choose what we want to believe. Everybody here at one time or another has seen strange shadows, felt deep emotions and stuff of that spiritual nature. Some of us interpret it as something spiritual and others see it as a figment of our imagination. You asked the question of why evolutionist/atheists believe in what they believe. Its simple - God gave them the right to believe in whatever they want to believe. Its called freedom of choice, something that we Christians have to respect because if we don't we go against our God the same one that gave them a choice. That's somethng that historic christians in the past didn't respect when they killed those that didnt want to convert to Christianity. They went against the same God they were preaching when they committed those horrible acts. Freedom of choice is number one in Gods list. Your desicions says whats in heart. Always remeber that God looks at the hearts of men. He gives you the choice to follow Him or reject Him because he wants to see whats in your heart. Atheists and Theists believe the way they do simply because they want to.

That's very funny, but I have to defend George Bush since I am a young republican and Christian. I don't belive that they are demons, but they could be led astray BY demons.

There are a LOT of politics topics in the Coffee House forum. Note that there is a box in the upper-right corner, to select the number of topics to be listed. Your default value is 45, unless you set it to otherwise in your profile page.
You may wish to start something like a "Young Republican" topic, at that forum. {Added by edit: Being a Clash fan and being a GWB fan seems to be quite at odds with each other.} We should not be derailing this topic onto such things. BTW, welcome to the forum,Adminnemooseus This message has been edited by Adminnemooseus, 11-20-2004 01:55 PM
