I'm sorry, I should have tried to be a bit more specific. One example that I can think of is the ability to plan into the long term future. For example, from experience we know that in general it will be warm in summer and cold in winter. Other animals can respond to temperature changes, but it is most likely that they respond to stimuli and instinct rather than planning ahead.
Sorry if that sounds a bit garbled, I'm quite new to posting.
