Re: from broads to bagels
a camp Errol Flynn.
Whew, that's at least close. It was meant to have a bit of a sinister air (more than Flynn) though not a homicidal maniac as most seem to be getting out of it.

Re: from broads to bagels
Do I recognize you from the character images for Bauldur's Gate. A Bard, maybe?
Very close. It's Neverwinter Nights. The original image I was trying to create was one that would work for a Wizard, a Bard, or a Rogue-wizard class.
As I told crash in another thread, my gf and I decided not to have me reveal what are the changes I made, so that will include the hair.
it is hilarious that you have your shirt unbuttoned and a gold chain around your neck.
Honestly, the larger image this is a portion of puts it in better perspective. It is a medieval shirt that is naturally opened and the chain was supposed to be an amulet. The combo does create an undesired effect however.
I think I will be dropping this avatar. How does one go about removing an avatar? I can only seem to switch it to something else.

In your profile, scroll to the very bottom. Below the display of your current avatar is a box for whether or not to display avatars.

Wow, holmes, this is the first time I think I have ever seen a chink in your armor of supreme self confidence.
You actually seem a little self conscious about your avatar.
It's kind of endearing.

You are correct. While I honestly wouldn't care whether I was mistaken for a disco kind of guy in general, I wasn't expecting that particular image to generate that impression (or to frighten people).
I actually thought it looked kind of cool. But then the fact that I would use the word "cool" probably shows how uncool I am. Or maybe that I am still playing RPGs would indicate the same thing.
Ironically, I do have a picture of me dressed in 70's disco type duds, several chains and open collar. That will not be used as an avatar any time soon.

It's not at all a scary image, I don't think.
Just groovy.

Hey, I play RPG and I'm totally cool, I don't know what you're talking about.
I obviously play them so much that I vaguely recognized your avatar image.

lolol. That good, eh?

FYI, I think Rrhain's avatar is WAY more frightening than yours.

I actually agree with this. Having to choose between the guy with a forced smile, which indicates that he is holding a knife behind his back, and a guy that has a sweet gayish smile, which indicates that he is planning something evil but you know for sure it won't be violent, I'd rather pick the second guy.

Am I the only one who thinks Holmes' avatar says, "Don't let me interrupt, ladies. Just here to fix the cable..." to the tune of Grand Funk Railroad?

Me too. The only thing disappointing about that poster is that Ann's crucifix isn't there. It should be. It defines her. And it's so Ann.

Re: Ann Coulter
She's a columnist and a conservative talking head who makes frequent appearances on cable news network talkshows. She's the type of conservative who uses insults as arguments. She believes Joe McCarthy was a great American and that he really did have a list of names of commies in the state department, although I've never heard her say which of his ever-changing numbers of commies was the accurate one.
She's written a few books like Treason and How To Talk To A Liberal (If You Must). To Ann Coulter, if one disagrees with Bush's Iraq policy, one is probably guilty of treason.
I wish you had seen her in an interview on CBC a couple months ago (we get CBC here via the NWI cable news network). I can't think of the name of the man who interviewed her, but he's the only person I've ever seen to help her portray herself as an uninformed bigot. He did so simply by being patient and allowing her to not answer simple questions in dozens of different ways. He kept going back to the same question she hadn't answered repeatedly until he had made the point to viewers that she didn't have an answer, then he'd move on to another question and go through the same routine again.
Check this column in which she insults MSNBC's Keith Olbermann for pointing out that Bush took Florida in 2000 because a few blue counties voted red. Olbermann wasn't alleging a conspiracy, simply pointing out how Bush won Florida, but that wouldn't have given Ann anything to write about. Since conservatives can be expected not to watch Olbermann's show, Ann was on relatively safe ground in misrepresenting his statement.
She uses similar tactics to insult and attack Al Franken, the NY Times, Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, etc., etc. That link will put you on her site. Take a look around and you'll see what I mean.

Keep America Safe AND Free!
