Check out the new sig.
By the way, for a fun second-term drinking game, chug a beer every time you hear the phrase, "...contentious but futile protest vote by democrats." By the time Jeb Bush is elected president you will be so wasted you wont even notice the war in Syria. -- Jon Stewart, The Daily Show

This older man feels like going out so he shaves, puts on a nice aftershave lotion, gets dressed up and walks over to the local bar. He goes in and sits down on a stool next to an attractive nicely dressed older woman. He orders a drink and orders her a drink. She accepts it and smiling raises her glass and he raises his back and then leans over and asks her, "Tell me. Do I come here often?"
lfen, who just heard this this afternoon at a tango workshop.

Well if we are talking about after his term then it would have to be after we invade Iran. At his present rate of attacking countries Bush needs 2 more in 4 years to keep up. This term could be a 3-fer though! Yeee-Haaaw!

Did you make that up? If so, very clever.

Thank you, holmes. I think that clip is from the CBC, which is interesting since Ann Orexi- um, 'scuse me, Ann Coulter had already embarrassed herself once on that network. It was several months ago and was also in reference to Canada's war activities. She said that Canada supported us in WWII by joining us after Pearl Harbor in sending troops to Europe. She didn't realize that Canada had already sent troops two years prior.
She might have been correct if she had said that Canada declared war on Japan along with the US after Pearl Harbor, but that's not what she said. Keep America Safe AND Free!

Some Canadians independently from our government signed up with the US military and went to Viet Nam.

That's true, Ned, but Ann was making the point that, since Canada had the good sense to support us in Vietnam, why not in Iraq? Of course, you're correct that some Canadians volunteered for Vietnam, but haven't a few done so for Iraq as well?
Her point is ill-informed and stupid. Keep America Safe AND Free!

some Canadians volunteered for Vietnam, but haven't a few done so for Iraq as well? And of course turn about is fair play. During vietnam how many Americans "signed up" with Canada in order not to go? Does that mean America was against the war? It appears that the same thing is happening now with Canada granting safe haven to American deserters. On Michael Moore's site they now have a companion clip to the Coulter one where O'Reilly suggests the same thing will happen to Canada as happened to France, now that they are helping our deserters. The only problem is that he, like Coulter, was making up the impact we had on France. It's at the top of the first michael moore web page. holmes "...what a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away.."(D. Bros) "...don't believe I'm taken in by stories I have heard, I just read the Daily News and swear by every word.."(Steely Dan)
