Re: Isn't it bootcamp time?
Any chance he could be that kid that Percy had to send a letter to his school just so he would stop spamming us? Know who I'm talking about?

Re: Isn't it bootcamp time?
{Admins, excuse me for interjecting this somewhat off-topic post, but I just noticed by accident that Guidosoft has edited a post he wrote to me some time ago, probably in the mistaken idea that this is how discussions are conducted: you say something to someone, then you wait a while, then you edit what you said, expecting others to notice this. I guess Guidosoft got lucky that I did. Since I can't reply to Guidosoft's original post, because the thread was closed, I chose to reply to Charles Knight, whose suggestion of putting Guidosoft in Bootcamp I strongly endorse.}
Guidosoft writes:
I can do more then you can. Go ahead, challenge me.
Can you speak Dutch?
Guidosoft writes:
Why don't you go write an operating system like the one I am working on and then try to degrade my intellectual capabilities again.
Because you manage to do that yourself quite well, the latter part especially.
Guidosoft writes:
You evolutionists sure are ignorant.
Of what exactly?
Guidosoft writes:
lol, and you act like it's a big deal: "Oh look, we are such good detectives eh. We proved it ain't his list. A duh....."

Re: Isn't it bootcamp time?
Hi,
Can you speak Dutch?
Can you spell 'witch' as in
'witch' complicates things.
'witch' means that what I posted did not fire you up.
All the things 'witch' the bible predicted are coming to pass.
The brain has it's own data format, so how can it just be that, that data ('witch' is only particles).
If you read the bible from the begining to end 'witch' all fits together perfectly.
Don't challenge Guido to a spelling competition, he/she can do more than you can.
Brian

Brian,
Thanks for the warning. I wasn't aware it was a spelling competition. I am no witch, so spells ar not my specialty.

Topic!
The topic is still earthquakes and end time biblical prophesies, not idle speculation about other posters.
C'mon guys, you're doing well here. It'd be a shame to let this thread die an early death.

Hi Shaz,
For reference, and to refer further discussion of this point to the appropriate thread, please see the Genetic Basis of "Finding God" thread. Nice post, btw. Just wrong thread...

Why do people always try to change the subject when they are loosing?
And, no, I am not trying to change it. I wan't to talk about the topic. So don't even say it.

Which Witch, the Wicked Witch.
Hi Guido,
Your posts would be easier to follow if you used 'which' instead of 'witch'.

I win, because everyone is not saying anything. So I guess this debate has pretty much been wrapped up.

Re: Made by God
Funnny, when looking at DNA, and studyhing the structure of a cell, I don't see a 'made by god' label there either.

Actually, just because there is a gene, or set of genes that cause people to believe in a deity, doesn't say anything about that deity existing or not.
After all, this god fellow could have put the gene there.

I guess it's how each interprets the observed. I interpret the complexity and quantity of information in DNA as God's signature.

Then I guess we must be God:
quote:
You won't believe where scientists have found the new material they need to build the next generation of microprocessors. Millions of natural supercomputers exist inside living organisms, including your body. DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) molecules, the material our genes are made of, have the potential to perform calculations many times faster than the world's most powerful human-built computers. DNA might one day be integrated into a computer chip to create a so-called biochip that will push computers even faster. DNA molecules have already been harnessed to perform complex mathematical problems.
While still in their infancy, DNA computers will be capable of storing billions of times more data than your personal computer. In this article, you'll learn how scientists are using genetic material to create nano-computers that might take the place of silicon-based computers in the next decade.
How DNA Computers Will Work | HowStuffWorks
The quantity of informaiton in DNA is not staggeringly large by comparison to some human-created information systems, I don't think. Anyone have numbers for the bit count equivalent of DNA?
