Age 23
State of Residence: usually Indonesia, currently UK
Marital status: Single
Education level: currently doing a masters
Religion: Islam
Occupation: student
Type: either TE or ME... or 'deistic evolution'
Why?: Evolution is obviously well supported, plus my religious background does not contradict evolution per se. So I can have my cake and eat it.
Although it can be difficult at times...

You have a Bachelors in Biology, satrekker?
From what school?

Methinks you overestimate your prowess
If everyone in the political forums conducted themselves as you and holmes do, I might reconsider. However, I have no interest in a kindergarten sandbox environment. Branding one's opponents as "stupid", or worse, instead of engaging their arguments, is not the mark of an intellectual.
Not at the moment, no, but I'll let you know.
I'd enjoy it.

Sorry to make an off topic post, but how has your B.S. in Biology worked out for you? I'm a junior at the University of Florida majoring in Integrative Biology, and I'd like to know. Also, it seems that your education would conflict with a YEC standpoint - did you become a YEC after you graduated, or before? I apologize if I'm prying but I'm interested in knowing more about you.

My spidey sense is telling me that it is quite unlikely that satrekker actually has a BS in Biology.
They wouldn't be the first Young Earther to fabricate credentials and expertise to sound more credible, if my suspicion is correct.

While it is not beyond people to fudge their educational background, I find I can't dismiss it until I see them saying something completely wrong given their field.
I have known some very very smart people, and highly educated as well, that went from theistic evolutionists to pretty much creationists. They give a little wiggle room for OE rather than YE (though we may be fooled!) but otherwise it is the same.
It was shocking to see the tranformation, and one of them is a highly educated, and now very very well paid biologist. Of course I caught him pretty well plagiarizing ID material. This is how I discovered ID in the first place.
So yeah, people can even have advanced bio degrees and then lose control to faith.

Oh, sure, I know.
I still think that this dude has no Bio degree. Check this out:

Agreed schrafinator... thanks for the reference. Primordial soup, comparison to sponataneous generation, and second law of thermodynamics are indicative of a certain level of creationist supporter. There are better arguments to cut and paste... I mean trot out. I did not notice a high level of invective from the evolutionists in those posts, but it was probably on the way before the quick bow out. What I noticed was perhaps a lower level of staying power than most creos on this board.
Perhaps satrekker has been buffing up that Bio degree from Patriot U. and refined his arguments...and now has the time and energy to have at it. Brace yourself.
ABB
edited because i confused satrekker w/ paisano, so original post made little sense...apologies to all, particularly paisano

I still think that this dude has no Bio degree. Check this out:
Yes, that would do quite nicely. Though I suppose it is possible for bio majors not to be up on the 2nd Law, the rest seems like gibberish.

Indeed, my friend. Although a bio major may not be up on physics ("Physics? We don' need no steenkin' physics!"), the bit about spontaneous generation = ToE would be hard to justify if you've taken even high-school biology.

Heck, I was shocked how many biology, and worse still pre-med, students felt they didn't need chemistry.
(added in... nevermind this, just testing a strange glitch I am having with EvC.)
