Syamsu silent?

I want to ask a question concerning a thread by Syamsu here,Theory of gravitation and creation Universe,in which I responded but I have not as yet rccieved a reply.Being a curious fellow I clicked on Syamsu's name and according to his ID the topic is closed.In mine it is open and there is no indication of such. What gives?

The thread you are seeing as closed in Syamsu's topic list is the archived version. The version you replied to is not in Sy's list because he hasn't replied to it yet.When we move a proposed new topic it closes the thread in the PNT forum while opening a copy in the new forum. We then archive the topic from the PNT, which closes and moves it to the archive forum.In the past, archived threads did not appear in the regular topic lists. Hopefully that will again become the norm but for now we just have to live with it.

Well that's as clear as mud . Asgara, could you explain that again for me as I lost the plot round about This has nothing to do with your ability to explain the dratted thing, but speaks volumes on my inability to understand words of more than one syllable when it comes to puter stuff.

An admin can correct me if I dont have this 'quirky' functional shift quite right. T the sylable was not actually out the window.Once an admin approves a proposed topic they archive it and that copy is not longer active. Sy would have had to used the active thread that Sideline orginially responded after the admin opened it as Sidelined could not have responded to the orginial proposal even though sysamsu could (have). S simply chooses not to enter into a discussion of his proposal and so only the 'archived' copy shows down in his window. When Asgara simply said that he hadnt responded to it she meant the active thread not the archived house kept copy.I think I got that correct. It is not a trick on the eyes either, but a precondition if I use another word on the same.

Thanks Brad, that is exactly what I meant. It has to be thought of as two separate threads, the original PNT and the new moved thread. Sy wrote the original proposal in the now closed and moved PNT. He has NOT responded yet in the "new" thread that Sidelined posted to.

Asgara, I think you're probably the first to have the confusion of one of your posts cleared up by Brad McFall.
