Apologetics?
Trent13,
Your use of the word "apologetics" is what jumped out at me in your post. My association with the word has me thinking in the negative. From my perspective, apologetics, being a derivative from the word apology means that people are making apologies or excuses for whatever is being discussed. In other words, it is pure and simple spin-doctoring, or spin control. For me, that is a negative.
So, my question to you is, why would you want to practice that kind of thing? And instead of calling it apologetics, why not call it "defense of" whatever the topic is? That has a much better ring to it, don't you think.
So, like Phat, I'd like some discussion from you on your use of the word apologetics. Like Ned said, the actual topics you want to discuss belong elsewhere.
Here, let's discuss "apologetics", if you don't mind.
