Let us not forget that the reason Mr. Schiavo has this other relationship in the first place is because Terri's parents told him to do so.They now seem to be upset that he did what they told him to do on that one score but isn't willing to do what they're telling him to do on this other one.

...And to all the people that have suggested that Teri should have been kept alive because she wouldn't "know" the difference anyway... I am wondering where you would draw the line... If a Jewish person is in a coma, can we baptize them against their wishes? They won't know... What could we do to comatose person hat you would find over the line?Citizzzen

I just heard an update about this on NPR. Apparently, like polygamy, the official church now disapproves of this, even if individual members still do it.Me, I can't get past the holy underwear...Citizzzen

Yeah, well, just as the LDS leadership bowed to cultural pressure to allow black men to become full members of the church, they are bowing to cultural pressure to stop the practice of baptizing the dead.You can bet that if nobody outside the LDS church ever complained, they would still be doing it.
