I can see why topic drift might be concluded by the casual reader since many side issues are being visited, but if you glance at the last post, Message 251, it directly addresses the topic. Although the main topic is perhaps not as significant a proportion of the thread as one might hope, it is still being discussed. God is defined by his words and deeds, and in Message 251 Phatboy replies to me concerning evidence of God's deeds.--Percy

http://EvC Forum: contracycle, clothes, humans, and bare lies.please reopen this thread so that(1) the issue of contracycles misrepresentations can be proper dealt with and(2) to keep this issue from cluttering up another thread where it is off topic.I note once more that contracycle has been challenged to substantiate three claims that he has made and that it is one of the forum guidelines that he do so when challenged.The place to do that is this thread in question.I also suggest that adminjar has become involved in this issue and someone else should handle it.

so what's the word?contracycle is still misrepresenting and there should be a place to discuss it without interfering with other threads.closing any and every thread, or punishing any poster, that points out contracycles misrepresentations amounts to censorship.

hey razd, have a look at the "in case anyone was curious" thread for some laughs.i'm not gonna make any complaints yet, unless it gets out of hand.

I haven't checked out any of these threads, so I'm not only objective but ignorant, but discussion in the Admin forum indicates that no one had any problem with people countering misrepresentations. The primary issue seemed to be about allowing the discussion to become too personal and letting the topic get lost in the process.

I don't see how allowing you and contracycle a place to carry on your little spat is of benefit to the site. I believe usual policy around here is to highlight unacceptable behaviour, warn, suspend and, finally, if the participants are apparently unable of learning, banning - I see no reason the spat between you and contra should be treated differently, you've both already been suspended for it - stop it.

I will have to agree. Clearly you both find it impossible to debate in a purely rational fashion. How about you don't reply to each for a while?

I have yet to see contracycle suspended, and he has gotten away with far worse infractions than I was "suspended" for just for making an issue of HIS falsehoods.all I ask is that he substantiate his claimsis that really too much to ask of anyone here?
