Re: Do you really know me?
No,no I think the problem is that you are very arrogant (Only I understand!). I'd like to think that come from the usual teen crap rather than some ingrained personaility problem.

I'm positive like that.

Ah. You know, in the future you might want to include qualifiers like that. They make communication so much easier.

First of all "the majority" doesn't matter. All it takes is one person.

But since numbers matter to you I will ask you a question.

Do think there are more ppl that have perfect lives than horrible ones?

If not, do you think that the ppl that experience very bad "downs" remember or think about the downs more or the ups more?

Finally,

Do you think that the majority of an average persons life is ups rather than downs?

It's not only I that knows. Lots of ppl know. Judging by your posts you probably aren't one of them.

Chris,

I believe in love.

What is the weather like on your planet?

For the third time, YOU, yes chris simon porteus jr, started a thread entitled "The Evidence of God". You stated, & I responded;

chris writes:

That's intelligent design, thats evidence for God.

mark writes:

Actually, it's a non-scientific hypothesis in dire need of evidence, rather than actually representing evidence in & of itself. Given the thread title pertains to evidence of God, & your opening post is actually devoid of it, one is wondering if you have any?

Your reply...

This evidence is harder to see than the type you're used to. You need to feel the tragedy.

This world gives ppl horrible unbearable lives.

...Had absolutely nothing to do with intelligent design. Nevertheless, I asked how your response could have anything to do with evidence of God, & got...

I believe in love

...Which has absolutely nothing to do with either of your former statements, & is irrelevant to them.

So, do you have evidence of god re. intelligent design, or not. Be a grown up.

Mark

Re: Do you know me? That's why I carry an American Express card.
First of all "the majority" doesn't matter. All it takes is one person.

See, there you go again. If you're going to do well on that SAT verbal section, you might want to keep in mind that I didn't use the words "the majority". Therefore, they shouldn't be in quote marks.

But since numbers matter to you I will ask you a question.

Which brings us to this point... I didn't use words like "the majority" because the numbers don't matter to me. As I said in that post, the experience of life is what presents something beautiful. You're born into this world with the potential to spend each and every day getting blown by supermodels on a bed of money and tequila, or to wind up in a ditch, with a knife through your eye, covered in what you hope is your own vomit.

It's big and it's scary, and it's random and horrible and funny, and you have to hold on frikkin' tight or get blown off the edge. And that is Fucking Beautiful.

Krull,

Yup, I was just operating a three strikes & your out strategy, there's not much point talking to someone who manages to be irrelevant three times in a row.

Don't worry dsv, there's hope.

What do you mean there is hope? Hope for what? Did you even read the post? I gave you a personal experience in response to your personal experience in an effort to show you that such feelings don't necessarily NEED a god -- they are perfectly natural.

Obviously you're saying the only hope is your God. Thanks, I don't need your hope or your god.

I believe that living conditions matter, in that ppl whose lives have been very bad should be given a good life.

This need of justice for bad lives is evidence for a God.

Despite not liking the way you put words together sometimes, I'm sorry I misread your post. I wish I could blame it on being sick but I've been known to misread posts. We essentially disagree on how beautiful the world can be. If there is one person that lived a life with no "ups" I disagree on how beautiful the world is.

Well, with no offense intended, you'll grow out of it.

Doesn't mean that to be an adult, you should stop feeling sympathy for those who suffer. But there's a hell of a lot of beauty out there to be appreciated as well. No sense in wasting it.
