Percy - Icon of Patient Explanation

Thread: The Lack of Empirical Evidence For Evolution
Post: 130
I realized recently that Percy hardly ever gets a POTM. Which is weird, to me, since I never fail to marvel at his patience, clear writing, etc. Almost every post of his I've ever read has left me saying, "damn, I wish I'd said that." So, let this nomination stand as representative of an extremely long series of outstanding posts - any one of which (or all, for that matter) would garner any other member a POTM.
Keep it up, Percy.

Actually, the post number above is merely a formality. I am very, very impressed with all of contracycle's posts in that thread. He gives a very concise, well thought out description of communism, describes his take on it very nicely, and, in my opion, answers peoples' objections and counter-point very well. Almost every post has something where I said to myself, "Man, I wish I said that."
There are also several points where I disagree with either slightly or completely. Yet, in each case contracycle makes his points so well that I am forced to think about them deeply.

I second Chiroptera's nomination. Contracycle presented and defended his point of view in a series of reasonable and sensible responses. We all benefit from these imaginative and thoughtful posts, whether we agree with Contracycle or not.

This poor chap goes to a helavulot of trouble in an attempt to satisfy the particular traits of particular people, who can only accept things when spoken in the language of naturlistic science and who attempt to get people into the tedious definitions web.

More often than not, when mick posts I have to say "I wish I had said that!". His calm rebuttals and clear grasp of the facts make him a great asset to the debate and a danger to any strawman wielding creo's who try to step into the Biological Evolution forum.

A fairly detailed comparison of the political philosophies of Mussolini and George W. Bush. I think this message could be the focus point for the entire topic.

Re: mick at "Why Darwinism is wrong"
This is a thankyou to Mammuthus and Moose, for nominating various posts for POTM, and for their kind comments. It really made my day - I might even copy your posts to my supervisor. If I win, do I get a T-shirt or something?
I try to write lots of stupid ill-considered posts but sometimes I unfortunately find myself saying something sensible.
Cheers and thanks!
