Too bad, you might be happier and less self-obsessed if you lived more like me.

Re: Do you really know me?

Happier?
How could I be happy knowing that all the children and billions of ppl that die each day because of the US and powerful ppl that you submit to, have died with no life to live.
Is being unhappy, depressed, and gloomy going to change anything about those people?
quote:
Just because you havent been burnt doesn't mean they haven't, not everyone gets to live in this "happy" world of yours, they get to exist in a life of labor from 6 years old, or get nuked and mutated by other men, or deemed dumb by society, or be affected by stupid ppl.
Well, what are you going to do about it?
Be depressed and mopey your whole life?
Sure, that'll help change things.
quote:
If being self-obsessed is accepting life's experience then I am. I live looking for beauty, I would have killed my self to live with your narrow view
So, people who aren't completely submerged in helpless, ineffectual, navel-gazing depression have a "narrow view"?

I'm about to step away from evc for a little while.
I think I have been hurting more ppl than helping.
My message is righteous but the way I have been presenting isn't,
you can reply to me,
I'll get back to you.
I'm going to leave for a long time though.
I believe in what I wrote but it is not helping you guys because your set in your opinions.
That's okay.
I apologize to Dan Carrol.

...and he makes his grand exit from the stage, with a flourish of his tattered wide-leg skater jeans and tipping his skull-shaped bong to the audience.
Man, CSP jr. is the BEST teenager we've had here in a while.

Yeah he is...but he don't mess with bongs! This kid is a philosopher and a romantic! My hope is that there are more kids out there who have a love for humanity like Chris does and who are not content to merely hang at the mall and get stoned!
The evidence of God is reflected in the personalities of His creation.
You know, there's a fine line between philosopher and bullshit slinger.
I think to be a successful philosopher, one needs to have insight into the human condition, and the ability to think from many different viewpoints.
I don't think Chris is quite there yet with either of those two skills.
I would simply call him "introspective".
...to put it kindly.

What kind of a teenager were YOU, Scraff? Tell us some stories!
I was:
angry
righteous
critical
athletic
insecure
smart
lonely
independent
bored
defensive
You know.
A teenager.

Re: on my way out now...
Maybe I'm not a hipster girl, but I listened to NIN constantly in college but had no use for whiney Morrissey.
Just what IS is "hipster girl" anyway?
