The half-finished building housing McDonald's new corporate headquarters
I know it's an old one but I couldn't resist!

Re: An interesting question.
Is it where Camp David is (and so deemed sensitive information)?

Re: One of my favorite places while growing up.
It looks a bit like some sort of rail yards. Unfortunately the only US rail yards I know by name is Camden Yards - and that's a ballpark now!
Ah - but I just looked on Googlemaps and there it was not far from a baseball stadium!

Re: Yet another of my favorite haunts while growing up.
Again I found it on Googlemaps but I don't know what it's called.
My guess would be Fort McHenry but that doesn't line with the little pink bubble for the Fort McHenry National Monument. However, now I zoom in on that bubble (C) it seems to be in the middle of a freeway!?

Re: Yet another of my favorite haunts while growing up.
Actually I'd never heard of it - I got the name by Googling 'Baltimore' and 'fort'!
I suspect very few Brits can tell you anything about the Revolutionary War (we mostly use the War of Independence description over here actually) - the only thing they could name relating to in any way would be the Boston Tea Party.
I've always wanted to study it, just never had the time.

Re: Yet another of my favorite haunts while growing up.
And the War of 1812 is virtually unheard of over here!
We were too busy fighting Napolean to worry overmuch about some minor spat with the ex-colonials
Note to self - add War of 1812 to list of things to learn about...
