The notifications of replys to your posts are automatic. You may turn them off or leave them on as you wish.
I am sorry, I do not know much about "the Archean Witwatersrand Basin?". If possible, would you please describe the Basin and related facts? I also try to learn the related knowledge, so that further discussion can be made.
Once you have a name like that a good idea is to have a go at googling it. There is a very good chance that you will get useful information off the web and save yourself and others a lot of time. Then you may ask questions of those here who are more knowlegable in geology than either of us.
