How do we know which Creation account among the many are true ?
We know the central cornerstone and foundation of all scientific theories involves light.
Einstein's theory of relativity is dependant upon light and its speed.
I believe Einstein proved that time ceases to exist when the speed of light is attained. This means, if God exists, and He is eternal and He has His being outside of time - He must also "exist" at the speed of light which explains His ability to seemingly be in two places (or more) at the same time. His person cannot actually be in two or more places at the same time, but because He exists at the speed of light He can appear to be in two places at the same time from our relative perspective.
We also know from science that without stars there would be no light.
I have merely referenced two scientific facts (relativity/stars) of which light is the essential component.
How many creation accounts declare the importance of light ?
Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Genesis 1:4
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:5
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Genesis 1:15
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 1:16
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Genesis 1:17
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth
Genesis 1:18
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
I submit the creation account which shows the importance of light is true and those that don't are false.
According to the best theist scholars, the name of God, traced to its earliest roots, comes from the Sanskrit, and God means: light.
When Moses was on Sinai receiving the law his face "shone" from being exposed to God. [Exodus 34] When Paul was converted on the Damascus Road, Acts 9 says a great light from heaven appeared. Jesus claimed to be the light of the world.
My point is that the presence of God in Scripture is associated with light, and central to the Biblical creation account, like science, is light.
I submit these correlations and facts support the Genesis account to be the true creation account.
