I have always considered ancestral area biogeography to be some kind of such "cooking". But the abbreviated method on Croizat is not out by anyone. Instead this idea was developed which did not mediate the difference of New Zeland Panbiogeography and how it was practiced at the Museums on both sides of the "pond".
