You are right. It just goes to show his assumption was wrong. I'm not a right-wing-conservative-republican-christain robot that you make me out to be.
If someone or something is wrong, I'll be the first to say it.

Based on what I asked, you do realize what a ridiculous thing this is to say...don't you? But just in case, let me ask you this: How can I post a response about your lack of response if I wait till after you respond?

I didn't assume anything, Tal, I simply asked a question. So, thanks for responding.

Karl Rove? Sorry, off topic...but I couldn't resist.

I have the gonads but not the primary requirements.
But the last picture, the one of Malcolm, was of a truly great American.
But the 700 Club, Jerry Falwell (Far and hopefully soon) and the rest of the CBN and Trinity crowd are always good for a laugh.

Another excellent post from you, and again I agree with most of it.
In all honesty I think Pat has always been a few peaches shy of a cobbler. Some of the things he's said are just so stupid that it defies belief that any grown, competent person could say them.
One thing that gets me about conservative reaction to him is the fact that he gets a pass whenever he works with liberal human rights groups, which he does from time to time. Why isn't that ever used against him? Cindy Sheehan is allied with a number of liberal groups, including human rights groups, and this is taken as a sign that she's nuts.
Conservatives never seem to get upset when Pat suggests that god sends hurricanes to punish people who tolerate homosexuality, or that he sends tsunami to punish people who don't worship him properly (or whatever stupid reason he gave for god sending that wave - I've forgotten what it was now).
But you've given an honest assessment and I appreciate that, especially since so many of the conservatives I know aren't condemning Pat but are rather harping on the MSM for even mentioning it.

Re: Let's see why the liberal left is a laughing stock
But if you like, I'll lump you in with these fine people... Breats not bombs! Dicks not death! Jar, do you have the gonads to show up at that protest?
You do realize that you are making an incorrect analogy, correct?
Jar made a post showing a conservative, making an outrageous STATEMENT of WHAT WE SHOULD DO. Thus showing that the right is a laughingstock because they don't put much thought into what they are saying.
You respond with images of people that are a laughingstock because they are funny to look at. They are not making outrageous statements of what we should do, or at least that is not what you are suggesting is funny about them. They look funny, and do funny things to get attention to their statements.
That's a big difference. The difference between a valid criticism, and ad hominem.
By the way, where would we likely find Jesus: backing Robertson at the 700 club, or hanging out at the Breasts not Bombs protest?
My guess is jesus would look a lot more like that freaky hippy guy, rather than Robertson.

Re: I agree..for example where's...
That's ok Flies, I knew it was coming. Either Karl or Bush on WMD.
From an objective point of view I have yet to see that Rove did anything wrong. It is as simple as that.
Rove said, "I think his wife works for the CIA.." is not the same as "Her name is Valrie Plame will you expose her..."
This is how MSNBC wrote it...
The leak to Novak, apparently intended to discredit Wilson's mission, caused a furor when it turned out that Plame was an undercover agent.
The problem is she wasn't a secret agent and hadn't been on an overseas assingement since 1997.
My opinion is that Joe Wilson outed his own wife, but the trial is still on-going and I again remind you that a New York Times Reporter (Judith Miller) is the only person in jail for obstruction of justice.
Novak isn't even the target of the investigation, he was just asked questions.

"Extremist Cleric" revisited
"This was no extremist cleric issuing a death threat. This was Christian Minister Pat Robertson..."
From NBC's reporting. clip here:
NO REDIRECT
Not an "extremist cleric"? You know, cuz Christians can't be "extremist clerics". Duh. Calling for murder isn't extremist if you're a Christian. Double duh!

Hi, deerbreh.
Yeah, Arbenz, Allende, the Sandanistas.... I don't think democratic elections are relevant in discussions of US foreign policy.

No, they are pretty much idiots who get laughed at.

Sure they are! In fact, that's all they do. Make outrageous political statements.

Re: "Extremist Cleric" revisited
Hey Zhimbo, I now classify Roberts as an extremist cleric.
There is a little difference though, between saying the US should assassinate a foriegn leader, and telling his followers to kill people don't you think?
By the way, where are all of you "don't be the first to cast stones" people now?

Re: Let's see why the liberal left is a laughing stock
No, they are pretty much idiots who get laughed at.
Really? Then why do you keep posting links to images of people, rather than simply written excerpts of their position on what US policy should be?
Indeed, please explain where I can find the position policy that is highly erroneous within the single image you placed within your post. The most I saw was a sign in the background that said "share the world". But the focus was on a man with no written position on him.
Was the picture funny, or was his position funny. If we were supposed to laugh at him because of his position, why didn't you just post it?
Sure they are! In fact, that's all they do. Make outrageous political statements.
Really? Remind me what patently illegal action they were recommending the US to engage in.
Don't confuse political statements you don't like with "outrageous" politcial statements. For example I don't think we should leave Iraq at this point. Someone arguing that we should leave immediately would be wrong in my opinion, but not making some "outrageous" comment.

He also suggested someone should put a bomb in the state department, and held a prayer vigil to get God to strike a member of the Supreme Court down.
I am having a very hard time seeing the difference between that and telling his followers to kill people, or making statements which would encourage his more gullible followers to do so.
