He was suspended and after an apology I gave him an early break.
I guess he had a 12 hour suspension....
Gosh, do you guys actually count the minutes of administrative actions? It all boils down to attitude. If he disrespects you again, tell us.

You asked in your next post what I mean by your accusing me of sin. Well this post is a perfect example of it. Sin = moral failure, moral transgression. Just one accusation after another -- I'm the bad guy because I denounce others for their personal attacks on my character, which have often come from you as well as others. Yes I'd be a better person if I were less hotheaded I'm sure, and I'm trying to cool it and may God change me, but I'm generally not attacking people for their beliefs and opinions and making comments about their character based on their beliefs and opinions but for their attacks on mine. A whole thread about little old me!For the record,My language in the post Faith mentioned above (I too do not know how to link) was overly strong.It was a reaction to two things:First, the use of the word "know" in place of the word "believe". I was urging the other posters to abandon the debate since you can not argue with someone who doesn't differentiate between these terms.Second, and more personally, I was offended by Faith's flippant disregard of my earlier post. Faith has asked for an explaination about how layers of rock could be have such striking boards. I gave an example, albeit simple, that explains the processes involved.Faith's reply I guess we all need to grow some thicker skin

It is not your place to judge what I believe, no matter WHAT you think of it, and you have dogged my steps ever since, setting yourself up as my judge and jury which is outrageously arrogant of you. I'm glad you have apologized but that sort of behavior deserves more than a 24 hour suspension otherwise. And you had barged into the middle of a tricky discussion with your post about the geological issues, apparently without having read any of the previous thread, and I'd just had about all I could take. Yes, I need to simmer down too, God help me.

The self-righteousness is far more evident in Faith's critics here than the other way around, imo.

I don't think that I have been judging your beliefs at all.I would also point out that if you don't want people to question your ideas, posting those ideas on a forum is probably not the best strategy. Huh? It's true I have responded to a number of your posts, also Tal's and Randman's. This is because you three, more than anyone else, are posting things that I disagree with. It makes no sense to post messages like "I agree", that's not debate, it's cronism.As for the judge and jury part, this I don't understand. How am I judge or jury. How does my opinion carry any more weight than anyone elses? Again it appears that Faith is being provided with unjustified lenience. Other posters in this thread have given examples of inappropriate postings by Faith but Admin choose to offer no admonishment or even comment. I think that admin should keep Faith on a short leash rather than shoot the messenger.

You are right and I will stop posting personal attacks, even to personal attacks. But yours WERE personal judgmentalness, which is what I'm commenting on, not discussions of the topic at all. NEVERTHELESS, I will not respond in kind again.

Explain what is wrong with this post. Am I out of line saying what is true. Why does Faith get a free ride? Faith can attack and criticize with no retribution, but I explain in clear coherent terms why this is unjust and I am proclaimed the bad guy???? What is up with that?

It is like this - Faith IS held to a different standard to the rest of us and I think it because of the sheer number of posts she does. This means that she fulfills the role of multiple creationists and stop it being a load of evos mumbling at each other. This means she can lie, abuse people and basically go "NANANANANAN CANNOT HEAR YOU" to evidence and explaination long beyond the rest of us.The only other explaination is frankly not that pleasant for faith (and is in fact downright insulting) - it is that she is being treated like the special ed students in schools - not expected to hold to the same level of behaviour and reason because they are considered incapable.This message has been edited by Charles Knight, 28-Aug-2005 02:51 AM

Set the parameters. If nuggin is reprimanded and Faith is not tell us why. Why is Faith allowed to make bold claims and accusations without backing evidence? Why are memembers reprimanded for questioning Faiths wild assertations? More importantly why am I told to shut my mouth when I question this gross abuse. Do you want free exchange of ideas? Explain why I am wrong and i will accept, but you need to explain why.
