If you look carefully at my posts regarding gay marriage, you will find that I have always supported polygamy as long as the contract is between consenting adults.
Yes, this is a slippery slope, but it is a slippery slope for the better.
To criticize this is like criticizing that since we have given blacks the right to vote that now we must give the arabs and the asians the right to vote as well.

Re: what's the problem
Hey yo, LB, welcome back. You haven't answered the question I asked you a while back.
According to you, psychological experiments have shown that it is more natural for men to not be in physical contacts with each other but it is natural for women to be close to each other. Even though you didn't say it out loud, your past comments have indicated that you thought homosexuality was unnatural and, perhaps, even wrong.
If that was the case, would you, then, say that it is perfectly natural for women to be lesbians, since it is already natural for them to show compassion with one another?

Re: what's the problem
Do you practice always avoiding the question? Read my post that you replied to again and try to give your answer again. If you try to avoid the question again, I will assume that you have a reading comprehension score of a 10 year old and will thereafter treat you like one.
ABE
I don't mean to bring this thread off topic like this. I originally intended it to be a single straight forward question post by me and a single straight forward answer post by you. However, you have demonstrated that either you can't read other people's posts and understanding them properly or you're just avoiding the issue and hope that everyone would forget. Either way, you are causing me to be responsible for hijacking holme's thread. So, please try to be a little more straight forward next time, ok?

Re: This just in.......
You can read proposition 2 word for word here.
quote:
Ballot Language
"The constitutional amendment providing that marriage in this state consists only of the union of one man and one woman and prohibiting this state or a political subdivision of this state from creating or recognizing any legal status identical or similar to marriage."
"Enmienda constitucional que dispone que en este estado el matrimonio consiste exclusivamente en la unin de un hombre y una mujer y que desautoriza, en este estado o en alguna subdivisin política del mismo, la creacin o el reconocimiento de cualquier estatus jurídico idéntico o semejante al matrimonio."
Brief Explanation
HJR 6 would provide that marriage in Texas is solely the union of a man and woman, and that the state and its political subdivisions could not create or recognize any legal status identical to or similar to marriage, including such legal status relationships created outside of Texas.
The yellow part defines what the word "marriage" is. Look at the red part very carefully.
They forgot to put in the word other in that part of the proposition. In other words, anything identical or similar to marriage, which is defined in the first part of the sentence, is prohibited.
Hahaha, I hope it gets passed!!!
