Goodbye
Just to clear up some misconceptions:

I had quit EvC before Percy appointed me Admin. I had expressed curiosity about what that role involves, but had already been planning to quit as soon as the Mary thread was over, so it was only curiosity, but Percy in his eagerness to have another creationist moderator quickly moved me into that position, and I'm sorry for causing confusion about that. I don't see how it could possibly work considering the conflicts between me and some of the Admins, but in any case I was planning to leave and have left.

I do look in to see what's being said, and particularly in the administration threads to which I now have access in this strange turn of events, and sometimes I leave the site open while I'm online for other reasons, but I expect that too will soon stop. It hasn't tempted me to come back.

I have to apologize to all for my irascibility on many occasions (such as my parting words to jar) as that is far from a Christian temper, and one reason I need to leave is to spend more time with the "means of grace" that will help me change such bad character traits. So I ask your forgiveness, and particularly jar's.

I had a good run here and sometimes it was fun but it's time to leave, so goodbye to all.

That's a shame. I hope that in the future you'll decide to drop back in, but in any case good luck to you.

I'll always pray that God prompts you to change your mind and stay.

Let His will be done, however! :) You always have the option to return. Listen for the Spirits new promptings in your life. He wants relationship with you right now. He will inform you of your future plans.

nominee
Since Faith has turned down the position of moderator, I would like to nominate Brad McFall as a substitute.

Think about it.

Brad's qualifications
1. he has a unique prose style.
2. he doesn't chat.
3. His involvement with university politics at Cornell is valuable experience.
4. He has an intimate knowledge of Bertrand Russell, Gould, and (of all people) Emmanual Kant.
5. Nothing affects him--he just goes on and on.

ABE:

6. He has wonderful discussions with Parasomnium.
7. If anyone ever has a problem comprehending him, just ask Ben.

I don't I think I have time for that, however. I simply look on the board to see if there is somewhere I want to use my putter onto. I do not try to see if can beat Tiger Woods on every hole here despite my ability to hibernate with CU bears bearing weight.

Re: Goodbye
I would like to add my voice to those who are lamenting your leaving. While I don’t agree with you on many things, there would not be any debate at all if you, and those of the creationist frame of mind did not participate here. And after all that debate is the reason we are all here.

As to those who feared Faith’s Moderation, all I can say is nice benefit of the doubt! Despite her participation in threads earning an unenviable reputation I believe she could have risen to the challenge and provided good un-biased (or at least close to) moderation.

You may have a bit of difficulty from time to time in getting a complicated point across, but never let it be said that you don't have a gift for metaphors! You come up with some of the best I've seen. Even when you mix them, they seem clever.
