Okay, you twisted my arm. Call me Member #6.
(Now, if I could ever get off the computer....)

People who think they have all the answers usually don't understand the questions.

A bit odd in the stats
As of just now, I've returned 5 results for a bit less than 1200 pts and the team has returned (total?) 5 results for less than 1500 pts. ???
I don't get it.

Re: A bit odd in the stats
IIRC, points are based on your computer's speed, as well as the quantity of results.

Re: A bit odd in the stats
if I am reading it correctly, individual results and points are computed (and returned to the grid) every 6 hours, while team updates are only done once per 24 hours

Re: A bit odd in the stats
That doesn't work for my head.
The stats that it recognizes are 5 results for me and 5 for the team as a total. So it seems to me that all of the team results are my 5.
But my points total is a bit less than the teams points total. What "result" produced the extra approx. 300 pts in the team total?
Plus I've been running about the same amount of time as everyone. Why aren't there more than 5 results?
(Of course, I now have one whiz bang fast box )

Re: A bit odd in the stats
I would assume that most of your 5 results and points came after the last team update, as have mine.
The team results are from 2 results for you, 2 for me, and one for jar.
The individual results are quite different, I have 4 results and 1137 points myself, but two of those results happened after the last team update. The team results will catch up in about 5 hours, well at least catch up to where we are now.
The current 5 team results do NOT include all of your 5 results.

Re: A bit odd in the stats
Hi, Team EvC folks...I'll be signing up my home PC this week after I upgrade--as some of you know, merely chatting is enough to blow me out of the water right now.
Also, I hope to add my employers network (which I admin ) to the cause in the coming weeks.
Now, if I can just hack my way into the university via my wife's faculty account...

Look at all dem mutations!

I have a "backup" machine (so slow that it almost is backing up - 266MHz ), networked to my main machine. I seldom use it, but I should be able to run it on the grid almost full-time, n'est-ce pas?

People who think they have all the answers usually don't understand the questions.

Go Team!
work computer added.
current stats:
Members (Rank) 8 (#819)
Current Members 8
Retired Members 0
Total Run Time (y:h:m:s) (Rank) 0:010:12:56:36 (#5,125)
Points Generated (Rank) 6,593 (#5,108)
Results Returned (Rank) 22 (#5,108)
Looks like we jumped a lot of rank on size of team by adding just two members!

Somebodies cranking those results! my little old laptop is only rated 2/3rds of a "high-end desktop system" ... and I'm 98% done with my second molecule (don't know how the one at work is coming but I should have another soon from there).

Re: Go Team!
You know, you can see how all the individual team members are doing by clicking on one of the "Team Member Details and Statistics" links right under the team totals and averages sections.
I'm pushing out a result every 9 hours or so, but they average 234 points per. Jar is getting a result every 11 hours or so, but averaging 368 per result.
Your one result so far was worth 573!
/glare...I just want to know how jar surpassed my runtime, this morning I was ahead of him and I left the machine running the grid all day. JK...these results are great, I find myself obsessively checking up every 6 hours I'm awake.
I wish I could get it running at work, but alas as an intern I don't have that power...hhmm... at least not ... legitimately...
