Re: I don't worry about it for a minute!
Your link reminds me of 1999, when we were hearing lots of predictions of doom and gloom of the Y2K computer bug. Most of these doom and gloom predictions were coming from the fundy community, and was accompanied with much "end times" wackiness.
My reading is that the second coming was supposed to occur during the lifetimes of the original apostles. So here is my suggestion. The second coming will never occur. It was a failed prophecy, if it was ever intended to even be a prophecy. It isn't going to happen.
Jesus said his gospel would be preached unto the ends of the earth, and then the end would come.

Well that's a pretty all encompasing statement to make, and doesn't really tell us anything useful.

AS for an increase in natural disasters, and are they prophesied? They are caused by the world, the earth, shaking, changing, moving and anyone, including me, could predict that there may be disasters in the future, and a 1000 years after I wrote it, it could be vaguely correct, and equally meaningless as the last quote in the thread.

Ends of the Earth Disclaimer

Well, there you are. Since the Earth is a sphere without "ends", then the "end" will never come.

Re: Ends of the Earth Disclaimer
The lord was speaking so that the men of the day could understand him. What if Jesus decided to say the earth was a sphere or that it revolves around the sun? Would that not beat the hell out of history as we now know it? Would not it affect his teaching or his plan? It would, and this is why Jesus christ spoke in this manner. It is called speaking anthropolmorphically.
Also, the bible says that in the last days it would be as it was in the days of noah. I'm talking about gays doin it, peoples all gettin drunkerd. Now, surley this has always been happening but now its starting to get more and more accepted holy carp!
Also, it is written that in the last days men will say it is not the last days because it has been the same since creation. This isn't true. It clearly has NOT been the same since creation, evolution, constipitation, whatever.
The kingdom of God is coming! Be ready! Accept christ now or forever burn in hell. LOL. I am sorry, jk. I just couldn't resist.

THE END IS NEAR!!! REPENT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!
Is The End Of The World Coming On June 12th?
quote:
An elusive group just outside of Abilene, Texas is claiming the end of the world is coming in less than a week.
The House of Yahweh recently gave ABC reporter Brian Ross access to their west Texas compound. Yahweh leader Yisrayl Hawkins says a nuclear holocaust will come June 12th and only members of his group will be saved.
All group members change their last names to Hawkins and live in the compound.
Local authorities claim the group is dangerous and practices polygamy. Shane Dee, the local district attorney, says there's no way to describe the group except as a religious cult. Yisrael Hawkins disagrees. "I don't control their mind in a witch-like fashion that the world is speaking of, to where I have some sort of power over them. I merely teach the laws to them."
Hawkins has predicted a doomsday twice before. He's also accused of having two dozen wives, and is facing bigamy charges.

I'm trying to see things your way, but I can't put my head that far up my ass.

Re: I don't worry about it for a minute!
From whose writing are you quoting and how do you prove that Jesus actually said that?
