Hello and Peace everyone,
Let me introduce myself to you. I neither fully support the “darwinian evolutionists'” claims nor do I endorse all of the views of the “creationists” in general, though I tend to fall under the latter category since I believe that God initially designed each and everything through evolution-- a planned and calculated evolution that is.
I do not believe in ape-men evolution by any means but I do believe in the atoms having self-assembled to form living creatures in accordance with God’s plan and I support the big bang theory. I do not believe in a young earth though I doubt the current calculated dates too. They seem to support the “blind random chance agenda” and carbon dating has shown many times to have been failed especially beyond 25000 years.
But this may go on and on and I don’t wanna go through all the details at this point. Anyways I’m not a Christian and I don’t believe that all of the Bible is God’s Word, though believing that it still contains much of God’s Word in it. I’m not a Jew, sunni, shia, Buddhist, etc. I’m a submitter to God Alone and I believe the “Quran” to be the literal and 100% preserved Book of God because of an incredible mathematical pattern encoded in it which can be found at Submission.org - Your best source for Submission (Islam) .
But this is not the only reason why I believe the Quran to be true. I can only advise everyone here to read that book for themselves without prejudice and see how different it is from what 99.9999999% “muslims” practice today and ofcourse from all other religious books. There are only very few “Quran Only” Muslims on this planet. Please check out:
Edip Yksel - Wikipedia
and
Quranism - Wikipedia
Moreover it seems to me that much of the Bible has been the cause for many to become atheists, including Darwin. Thats because I believe it contains much man innovated nonsense in it besides the word of God. But let me advise you all. WHY TURN ATHEIST JUST BECAUSE YOU FOUND THAT THE BIBLE AINT RIGHT? ARNT THERE MORE RELIGIOUS BOOKS ON EARTH? PLEASE CONSIDER THEM TOO WITHOUT PREJUDICE BEFORE MAKING ANY DECISION. This was just an advise and was definitely not meant to aggrevate anyone. If it did I apologize sincerely.
Before this I've been posting at the English section of 19.org – Faith not supported by reason and empirical evidence is wishful thinking and Home | www.free-minds.org . My complete life story can be found at http://www.y19.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=ac6acdcc0... GOD Bless!

Could you quote some of your favorite passages from Quran? I haven't read it myself.
Right now I'm reading "What Evolution Is" by Ernest Mayr. It'll take me a good hour to finish it though.

J.K.
Welcome JK. We need a resident Muslim as so many problems in the world today seem to occur because of culture clashes. Understand that we try to get you to defend your position, not attack you personally. Your post seems to indicate you were a fence-sitter, then you moved to a Quran-only stance. From your links, it appears you follow a similar line to the Wahabbi/Salafis? What`s your difference?
Consider that many turned from religion because they found reason and science to be a more convincing world-view than any manmade belief system.
There are several other contentious claims in your post, but I`ll let others answer them.
Welcome again.

JK, With all the controversy amid the bible codes, Moby Dick, Da Vinci Codes. And now your testifying that the Quran too has mathematical codes. Did you hear about the Torah Codes, not the Michael Drosin flavors. I'm not sure what to make of the Torah Codes (could it be the very book of life). btw... I'm the flavor that Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life.
The domain TheBibleCodes.com is for sale for your next The Bible Codes project.

JK- No, im neither a salafi or wahabi. Go check out Wahhabism - Wikipedia and Salafi movement - Wikipedia to see what their beliefs are. They both believe in HADITH(can check that too from wiki) besides the Quran which i along with other Quran Aloners vehemently reject.

JK- Yes because they read only scriptures with much man made laws mixed alongside the word of GOD like the Bible. If id been raised reading the Bible perhaps id be on the same position for a while but id most probably not just give up but go through other religious scriptures too, compare all and then reach a logical conclusion.

Hello Golfer,
Yes ive heard of the Torah codes. They are mostly numerology. Moreover the Torah code was not discovered by certified scientists who had knowledge in the fields of probability, etc unlike Dr. Rashad Khalifa Ph.D, who was on the roster of scientists for the United Nations Industrial development back in the 80s. Visit SubmissionTv.com is for sale | HugeDomains to view his clips. Also before i forget i believe the original Torah as revealed by GOD was indeed mathematically coded, as also asserted by Rashad Khalifa, and perhaps we can still find part of that puzzle today but not the complete picture like in the Quran.

The latest fad is the Asti Spumante Code.
It's a fascinating book.

Hell robinrohan,
quote:
Could you quote some of your favorite passages from Quran? I haven't read it myself.
JK- Sure.
[2:255] GOD: there is no other god besides Him, the Living, the Eternal. Never a moment of unawareness or slumber overtakes Him. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Who could intercede with Him, except in accordance with His will? He knows their past, and their future. No one attains any knowledge, except as He wills. His dominion encompasses the heavens and the earth, and ruling them never burdens Him. He is the Most High, the Great.
[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.
[5:32] Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing.
[21:30] Do the unbelievers not realize that the heaven and the earth were together then we clove/rent them assunder/apart? And from water we made all living things. Would they believe?
[112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD.
[112:2] "The Absolute GOD.
[112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten.
[112:4] "None equals Him."
quote:
Right now I'm reading "What Evolution Is" by Ernest Mayr. It'll take me a good hour to finish it though.

Still working on "What Evolution Is"--got tied up with Haeckel's drawings. They are fascinating. Have you seen them?
ABE: Hey, Johnny, have you ever read any of "The Nihilistic Bible"? Pretty interesting. Hard to find a copy though.

Lammy`s Link
Although it seems impressive (I`m sure RAZD had a hand putting it up),I`d give more credence if the Quran included cures for malaria, or Yersinia pestis (plague), or cancer-----

Hello robinrohan,
quote:
Still working on "What Evolution Is"--got tied up with Heckel's drawings. They are fascinating. Have you seen them?
JK- Yes and they were faked by himself. He admitted this later on which lead to his expulsion from the university. Many textbooks today still contain Heckels embryonic drawings which have been proved wrong years ago.
