you say was as though eugenics no longer occurs.
Really, in some respects, NAZIism was a revival of paganistic ancestor and race worship.
i quite agree. the main proponents of this were members of the ss according to my studies. i will get into this more later.

brennakimi
I thought this thread might be useful to you with all the citations from Hitler's speeches and, more importantly in my view, from "Table Talk."
One of my points was that whatever Hitler might have said in his speeches, in his private conversations, recorded in "Table Talk," he revealed what he really thought about Christianity. He despised it.
My other point was to show that Nazism is really a kind of social Darwinism except that it differs from certain other versions in being based on race. The fittest race, as it were, deserves to rule because it's natural, and what is natural is right.

Christian Social Movement
Nazism, as well as Hitler's hatred for Jews were both nurtured by the Christian Social Movement, an European outgrowth of the philosophy of "The Fundamentals", published early in the 20th century.

great quotes
Thanks. Not ready to dive in here, but it's interesting how Hitler viewed race, science and religion. The thing is the Germans were profoundly advanced in knowledge, and yet went off the deep end following this bizarre philosophy and leader.
Pride goes before a fall....

Re: great quotes
Evolution only worsened the already popular athiesm and imperialism in Germany. And in general made ruthless people feel more justified about their thoughts. Hitler's way of thinking was definately influenced by evolution.
"He who would live must fight, he who does not wish to fight in this world where permament struggle is the law of life, has no right to exist"- Hitler
In contrast to: Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: -Heb 12:14
And here's something else I found, check out this quote
"To see evolutionary measures and tribal morality being applied rigourously to the affairs of a great modren nation we must turn again to Germany of 1942. We see Hitler devoutly convinced that evolution produces the only real basis for a national policy"
now the weird thing about this is it is written by an English guy, Sir Author Keith, (a leading British anthropologist),he was in England during the bombings.
