John Nash's theory I'm guessing sums up to the idea that doing the good of the group ends up being in the best interest of the individual. Jesus teaches us to serve others always first. To not think of ourselves but of the greater good of our fellow man.

Humans must survive in a hostile world like any other animal. Humans survive best in groups. Certain behaviors keep the groups together and help the groups survive. This is practical, not moral or metaphysical, as the phrase 'universal morality' implies.
Unfortunately we're not surviving, rather dying faster and faster, despite advances in science, technology, and medicine. We destroy our planet and ourselves faster and faster. I think most animals are doing better than we are.
Maybe if we stopped acting like animals, caring only for ourselves or our immediate group, we might fare a little better?
Maybe if our personal actions were not selfish, and we made attempts to base our actions on what would be the best for humanity we could fare a little better?
I read a book where a guy taught that.
