Re: brennakimi suspended, Golfer not?
Reading that thread I couldn't decide whether to rage at him for his extraordinarily insulting posts, laugh at the insanity, feel sorry for his obvious ignorance of women, or ignore him as a troll.
Sadly, I think he's completely serious... but I wouldn't be surprised if he was a troll.
I think brenna had every right to her words.

Re: brennakimi suspended, Golfer not?
well that was fun. thank you for your swift action in both directions jar et al. i understood as i wrote them that my words were out of line, but i felt they were worth it. such is life eh?
i'm kind of disappointed that the discussion is now necessarily over. i was having lots of fun. troll or not, he played the line perfectly and never lost his cool. i think most of his barbs were pretty mild and many of our associates would have been more biting with the same statements. but i do know many people who do hold his positions. and i think it's an important argument.
on to the next one then kids?

Totally agreed.
What I find disturbing was that Admin. described her comments to The Golfer as "uncalled for".
I think they were absolutely called for and completely justified.
Unfortunately, they were also undeniably in violation the forum rules.
Hey Brenna, I'll take the next suspension when someone like that needs telling off.

AdminAsgara,
I think you got it right with
Ken JJM,
In the Thread:
Smoking-Gun Evidence of Man-Monkey Kindred: Episode II... Tails
His interest in Bibical medicine and cud chewing rabbits got me wondering if Kendemeyer had returned. It's was just that he has kept his posts brief whereas before his suspension he would go on, and on, and on, and on ....
Well, I'll not bother replying to him again.

riverat and pictures
Brenna, no more pics please. Though that is a very nice one, very artistic I must say.
Let's keep it civil too please - berberry has set a fine example so far in this thread for quality posting, I'm sure everyone here can do the same.
i had no intention of posting more. i prolly shouldn't have posted the first. but, as it stands, i'm tired of being ignored. ah well.

history of feminism thread?
Is anyone planning on starting a thread to continue the discussion on the history of feminism at the end of the 'women and the fundamentalist view of marriage' thread? It was really getting interesting.
Actually, the entire thread was excellent, but I can only take so much of the submission nonsense before I want to pull my hair out.

Any decisions?
Well its been a while, and I have now had my position misrepped and quite insultingly (it would seem beyond forum guidelines) by another poster.
I have replied within that thread to defend myself, but it appears I will be facing another situation where a person continually misreps my stated position.
Any decision on how people are supposed to appropriately deal with such situations?

Re: Any decisions?
Pointing it out is probably all you can do, Holmes. I wouldn't expect much else. If your view is favored by the ptb, then you get one result, and if not, well.....

The thread in question is Are sexual prohibitions mixing religion and the law? in the [forum=-14] forum. Moderating the Coffee House forum is not as high a priority as the on-topic forums. The ptb favor neither viewpoint and really aren't well equipped for settling such spats. If you sincerely take an interest, why don't you try to make sense of the thread and post your opinions here of who is at fault and why, along with proposals for what actions should be taken, if any.

Re: Any decisions?
Hey, why not talk to me? I asked the question, because I had been told earlier that admins were working on an answer, and it seems I am faced with potentially the same issue.
I don't need someone to resolve anything for me or decide who is "right", I need to know what I am allowed to do in response to someone who makes repeated misrepresentations of my position.
It seems to me I have a choice of responding OT within the thread to make a correction, or to create a new thread to handle the issue (especially if it ends up popping up later somewhere else).
Has there been a decision?
