The United States Constitution and Bill of Rights are based upon the humanistic values of the Enlightenment. That is, it was based upon secular values.I am not sure what "atheistic values" consist of.

Why should a government be pro-religion?Isn't that encouraging people to be religious at all, if the government supports it? Weren't the Founders specifically wanting to avoid any hint of the government requiring people to believe in any sort of religion in order to serve in goverment.
