Having never used AOL I wouldn't know what to tell you to do. Most browsers have a tools tab with options to choose from. If your still interested her avatar is the comic with Mohammad's turban being a bomb. If you goto the thread discussing the comics (page 1) someone has a link to the comics in question.

Thank you.
Actually, before you put that up I tried Internet Explorer, got EvC up, then Yaro's list and refreshed the page and there it was. Thanks to having been talked through how to use that option by Asgara and jar once when in Chat.

I give up on this issue since it seems to be only me that sees it this way. To your pleasure, I am stopping posting at this forum for awhile. I feel like I have waded into poisonous waters or a place where I do not belong.

How would you Americans feel if I were to post a cartoon showing a hero of yours with his head cut off? I would consider it a useful reminder of the barbarous nature of Islam, and hope that that is what would be conveyed to others who are under the delusion that all religions are the same -- same as I view these riots against the cartoons to be a revelation of the same barbarity that is at the heart of Mohammedanism. The lesson to be learned is respect, dignity and courtesy take a back seat to free speech from some people. Well, yes. That's what it means to be an adult - recognizing that "freedom" means people are going to be free to do things that offend, disrespect, or even shock you.

The riots are a result of ignorance and intolerance, two attributes that fundamentalist Christianity displays in abundance.
The Muslim world was the center of peace, tolerance, and education back when European Christians were living in the ignorant, superstitious Middle Ages, don't forget. We are already seeing a great deal of Fundamentalist Christian-based erosion of educational standards and we have begun to pay for it, as now the US ranks something like 28th in the world in the production of professional scientists. In the US, more people believe in Astology, Psychics, and Noah's Ark than understand the basic concepts of any science. If randman and you had your way and the entire United States became a Fundamentalist Christian Theocracy, it wouldn't be long before we would have people rioting over some silly religious belief.

same as I view these riots against the cartoons to be a revelation of the same barbarity that is at the heart of Mohammedanism. You're pretty clearly mistaken about this. The cartoons were printed in Egyptian newspapers, front page, back in august. Nobody rioted then. The riots are the work of rabble-rousers stirring up decent people. Islam is a religion with a considerably more prominent martial theme than Christianity, but it's present in Christianity too, and I don't think the difference is great enough to suggest "barbarity" at the heart of anything. There must be a cultural divide that I do not understand.
Just about every argument that creationists make is disrespectful of the beliefs of evolutionists. And many of the creationist arguments are offensive to evolutionists. I'm quite sure that creationists have a similar reaction to arguments by evolutionists. If we are going to have any debate at all, then we have to allow speech that is disrespectful of the beliefs of others, and that is going to be seen as offensive by some. I expect that some people are offended by my signature below, but it an example of the kind of expression that should be allowed. Impeach Bush

Islam is not alone when it comes to barbarous acts. Christianity has traditionally been less tolerant and far more barbarous than Islam.

All that shows is that you are one of the deluded, crash. Violence is the ESSENCE of Islam and has been from the beginning when Mohammed "converted" his first followers by murdering the ones who wouldn't convert. That form of "evangelism" has continued to the present, only political correctness can't see the realities involved here. Islam has continued to murder all dissidents wherever it goes. Native Christians and followers of other religions all over the world are being persecuted and beheaded by the lovely Muslims wherever they have the numbers or the power to do it. Funny how PC makes people blind. But that's OK, Christians are SUPPOSED to die like this. Too bad the Hindus and others don't have that kind of assurance.

Nice to see Christian love and humility operating in full force.

If you're going to compare the Hells and the sorts of punishments the two religions promise, one is no worse than the other. Read the Koran to see what Allah promises those who offend against him, and not just in the future life.

Certainly, there is some imagery we are not going to allow, such as sexual pornography.
A while back, Lam had the following as his signature, he was posting a lot of messages, and displaying the signature with every message.
B UL LS HI T I forced him to change the signature (it involved a few hour suspension). This was not that I disagreed with it (I'm very anti-GWB), but that I found it's frequent display to be obnoxious. Also, signatures are perminent, short of editing individual messages. Avatars are not perminent - They will change at every message if the choice of avatar is changed. My inclination is that Yaro's avatar was a proper thing, but now it's time to put it away.
