It's good to have another Muslim here. Welcome aboard sister Sarah.
Anyway, even though some Qur'anic verses can be interpreted as supporting evolution, it is wiser to just leave them be. Science is ever-changing and we don't know if tomorrow it would change. Contrary to Maurice Bucaille (maybe you draw your inspiration hrom him?), I do not consider the Qur'an a book of science. Yes, it is a book of guidance, but I'd not read scientific discoveries into it.
