Just for the fun of it I'd like to start a thread on identifying common objects.
Here's how it works.
I will provide a picture of an objcet. The goal is to identify what it is and what its primary purpose is. It may well have secondary purposes, things that it CAN be used for beyond its primary purpose, but they will not answer the question. A screwdriver can be used to open paint cans, or even hammer the lids closed, but that is not its primary purpose.
The first person to correctly identify the primary purpose of the object gets to post pictures of the next object to be identified.
I can and will post additional views of the object if requested or if it looks like they might be needed.
So....
here is the first object to identify.
edited to add the w to scredriver.

Nail clipper.

Sorry Charlie
Maybe it could be used for that, but that's not what it's primary purpose is.

Great, if you do know.
and actually there is a common part missing from the photo, one that should not affect the identification, but that I took off to use for some other device. If you have a picture of the object with the missing part and happen to be the one who first identifies this one, maybe you can post a pic with the missing part included.
Remeber, additional views are available if someone feels they are needed.

If it's a keychain with the chain removed, I gotta call shenanigans.

Re: Sorry Charlie
Well, it is a multi-function tool, but all the tools are for one Primary Purpose. There's a big hint related to that in all the pictures.
