More Mystery Objects
OK, I'm game.
All good things come in threes, they say, so I took the liberty to give you three mystery objects at once.
No. 1 is obviously a Swiss army knife, but it's not just an ordinary one; it has a special purpose. I've partially taken out three tools that have a connection with this special purpose.
In picture no. 2, I've included an egg for scale, so don't be a smart alec and say it's an egg. The object on the left is the one you're supposed to take a guess at.
In picture no. 3, I've decided to leave out a scale reference, to make it harder.
Good luck.

Did you know that most of the time your computer is doing nothing? What if you could make it do something really useful? Like helping scientists understand diseases? Your computer could even be instrumental in finding a cure for HIV/AIDS. Wouldn't that be something? If you agree, then join World Community Grid now and download a simple, free tool that lets you and your computer do your share in helping humanity. After all, you are part of it, so why not take part in it?

Re: More Mystery Objects
1. wine opener
Wrong. What's the magnifying glass for? Why does it have the forked ending? What's the rod for?
2. chocolate covered cherry
If you bite this one, the next person you'll see is your dentist.
3. European toilet lid.
Maybe, just for you, I should have included a scale reference. Anyway, I wouldn't advise anyone to sit down on a toilet lid that, for some obscure reason, has the word 'cut' on it.

Re: ok, who knows what this is?
It's called a 'praam' in Dutch, I don't know the English word for it. It's for doing something nasty to a horse.

Re: More Mystery Objects
The middle one next to the egg looks like a knife sharpener to me.
Nope.

Number three looks like a letter opener.
Close. But not quite there.

Re: More Mystery Objects
1. swiss army golf knife?
What does a golfer need a knife for? To sharpen his clubs? To open up a golf ball? Or, heaven forbid, his opponent?
2. egg slicer
Nice. But no.
3 box cutter
'Cutter' is right. 'Box' is wrong. I need to hear two more words, like "something something cutter"
P.S.: I'm going to bed, it's an ungodly time of night here. I will be back tomorrow.

Almost solved
jar writes:
well, number three is obviously designed to cut to a limited depth. It could be bandages, insulation, documents but there is something below that that should not be cut.
FliesOnly writes:
Hello: Let me see how many I can get wrong (I'm betting at least three).
1) Assorted devices for starting a fire (knife to cut
shavings...sparker for flint...magnifying glass to burn ants ).
2) A device that you put on your desk and use to hold a piece of
paper that you are copying (i.e. typing) to your computer.
3) I have no idea. Obviously to cut something only to a certain
depth...therefore leaving what's under it uncut.
Jar and FliesOnly have essentially solved no.3, they have just not named it. It's called a "single sheet cutter", and it's used to cut articles or pictures from newspapers and magazines, without cutting the page beneath.
FliesOnly was spot-on with no.2 (see the first two photos), so he lost his bet. I say the wager was that he now has to present us with a mystery object of his own.
To give some more clues for no.1, I've made another, more revealing picture of it. As a verbal clue, I will divulge that the short blunt knife-like tool is for opening something and that the forked ending of the magnifying glass is meant for dislodging something. The magnifying glass itself should tell you that we're dealing with small scale things.

Solved!
A Swiss Army Watchmaker's Knife?
I tip my hat to you, KJ.
I am an afficionado of mechanical watches, and during a stay in Switzerland I saw it in a watch shop. I just had to have it.

Yes, but What nasty thing does it do, and why would you do it?
Being a horse person myself, I know what it's used for. But won't I be spoiling the fun for non-horse people if I tell it? (The fun being in guessing its use, not in the use itself, of course.)
