Re: Discussion Closed
What sort of answer is that? You give a bizzare left-field reply to my question and I'm not allowed to ask what on earth you are talking about?
I'll drop the matter there but it seem entirely pointless to have a thread to discussion moderation if you are unable to quiz the moderators!

It is an answer designed to tell you that this situation which concerned actual participants of the thread is now concluded and not open to any more discussion.
But since you can't seem to let sleeping dogs lie, here it is.
I consider this thread to be for those within a thread to address moderator actions within that thread or to bring attention to problems within that thread.
I don't feel it is a thread for the general membership to give their opinions on complaints or moderation procedures in threads they are not participating in unless outside input is requested.
Since you aren't a participant in the thread in question and no moderation action was taken against you by me (no wrong committed against you), your insults to me were unjustified. Whatever your reasons for jumping into the dispute, I did not deserve your rude response.
I addressed your racist concern in Message 178 to iano in which I also stated that
This situation is now concluded and not open to any more discussion.
In conclusion:
This situation is now concluded and not open to any more discussion.

Re: Discussion Closed
How can I let it lie when you keep making increasingly bizzare statements?
quote:
your insults to me were unjustified.
What insults? What are you on about? What rude response?
Maybe this is a language problem or something but I honestly don't understand the progression of this conversation. Your replies and sense of injury do not seem to bear any relationship to the questions that I raised. I'm truely baffled about what is actually occuring here.

Hi Charles,
CK writes:

In Message 174 AdminPD wrote this:
AdminPD writes:
I've already apologized to Trixie for my lack of knowledge which prevents me from understanding how this belittles Trixie.
Another admin will have to decide if action is required.
Sorry.
You replied in this manner in Message 175, the very next message:
CK writes:
And the casual racism is beyond your scope as well?
Or I take it you agree that orthodox jews treat gentiles as dogs?
oh must go, I see a blackman outside and you know how they like to steal anything that's not nailed down.
This is fairly offensive, especially since it appears to come from out of the blue. AdminPD tried to ignore it and disengage, but now you're hounding her.
Please go back to lurking, about your only choice now that I've suspended your posting privileges.

A bit of clarification
Hi Admin,
I don't want to get too involved in the discussion about who belittled who, or what is offensive etc. - it's been a bit of tiring day. I thought I'd do my own quiet bit of lurking after work. However, it does seem that there seems to be quite a lot of wires crossed here, probably caused by CK not attributing his quotes to specific posts.
Leaving aside the Celtic/Rangers thing, CK's main gripe seems to be with Message 86 in which iano states:
iano writes:
... He looked at me as if satan himself was offering to by him a drink" Orthodox Jews consider gentiles as they always have. As dogs.
CK thought this was casual racism and likened it to saying:
oh must go, I see a blackman outside and you know how they like to steal anything that's not nailed down.
CK wanted to know why this was not picked up by a Moderator, any Moderator, and seemed to be frustrated that PD didn't address it specifically in her reply.
My point is I don't think the comment that CK seems to be suspended for was completely out of the blue and you seem to have taken it slightly out of context. Apologies if I've missed something here, as I said it's been a long day.

What a load of political correctness. Those comparisons are not the same at all.

Topic Drift Alert
I've been tied up in a conference call this afternoon but was sufficiently concerned about this thread to temporarily deactivate the Suggestions and Questions forum until I had a chance to return.
This thread is for raising both specific and general concerns about moderation. Please do not use it for other purposes. Thanks!

Human Babies
Brennakimi,
Are you still interested in this topic being promoted whether the originator returns to participate in the thread or not?

Re: Age Correlations Step by Step
It is not a "Coffee House" type topic.
It is a "Dates and Dating" type topic.
I say it stays where it is.

Re: Age Correlations Step by Step
What about in {Great Debate} then?
The idea was to discuss the issue in a non-science forum, as 'relative' requested.

Re: Age Correlations Step by Step
First of all, I'll point out (as being discussed in the "Private Administration Forum") that "relative" is apparently another incarnation of "simple", who is currently of "full suspension" status. Thus his very presence here is highly problimatic. Do you want to do a "Great Debate" with "simple"?
Is the topic in questions some sort of "creation with apparent age" sort of thing? If so, perhaps the topic belongs in one of the "Social and Religious Issues" forums.
